on how many of Undertale's dedicated voters came in early, Mario 64 is
holding up like a champ. It only has 300 fewer votes right now than
Pokemon did at this same time, and Pokemon was pulling in huge rallies

Melee
won't rally unless it needs to really. I doubt you'll see any tweets
from top players or w/e because people won't start reaching out until
melee is losing or looks like it's going to lose. You can expect a ton of rallies for melee vs undertale though, trust me on that. I was worried about this match for melee because a lot of the melee community won't rally against FF7, but like 100% of the melee community would rally vs undertale(still probably not enough to beat undertale but yeah). one of the most exciting things about Undertale moving up is seeing it

That doesn't track, though. The major blogs haven't picked up traction yet. The early rally votes are the dedicated ones. This should have the lowest backfire rate of any rally time. If you drop the backfire rate from 25% to 15%, you're still going to get a lot votes. And past experience is that, if anything, the later part of the rally has lower backfire.
