UT swung 16k against Fallout from 6800 down. 12.5k against SMW from 3200 down. 11k against Pokemon from 7500 down. The thing is, the farther down you start, the harder it is to cut, because you will be losing the remaining natural votes harder. Rallies are harder to do when someone is winning than when losing, and Undertale doesn't take the lead until evening. kind of understand what people say about the finals being worth as much
as they are, but I don't think the answer is making every match worth
the same. You should get more credit for being able to get later matches
correct. However, maybe we could change the point scaling so points don't double every round. Maybe just go up by 1 or 2 points per round instead. --- http://i.imgur.com/3DwCNLJ.gif |
I
think FF7 is the favorite. Melee got 37k votes in godmode, and still
almost lost to Chrono Trigger. It took some late tweets to really seal
it. FF7 with all the remake hype is capable of a lot more than 37k

It's
silly, yeah. The big matches at the end should be worth more,
especially with 128 entrants. The bracket contest shouldn't be decided

If
Tumblr favors VII to any significant degree, it would probably win, but
they preferred Mario World to FFVIII more than Gamefaqs did. It's a

So...my score is currently 192, but I picked SMRPG and MGS3 today... pure guess on the MGS match If it weren't for my decision to take Pokemon to the finals I'd be looking damn good, although I guess since Undertale is taking Pokemon's place I still have a chance. I picked FF7 > Melee and MGS3 > SMRPG so I'm not feeling confident about either of those...however if those do happen and OoT wins the final I could make h leaderboard for my first time ever :D --- Every day the rest of your life is changed forever. |

am definitely rooting for Melee and Undertale tonight. My desire to
see Chrono Trigger look good outweighs my preferences among these 4

How about points be awarded like (x^2 + x)/2 so that you get points per match of 1/3/6/10/15/21/28 depending on round? Each individual match is still worth notably more than matches in the rounds before it but it wouldn't make missing some of the last few matches necessarily a complete dealbreaker if your bracket was strong otherwise. --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |

pics. If the rally is less effective than last round, FFVII can still

mean there is not a bigger anti-vote magnet for FF Always Wins than
Cloud from that one really bad movie! Think it's way better if you get a
