At
one point in the first round, I think Leonhart and I discussed FF4/FF12
being roughly equal. Majora's Mask did 3.42% better against FF12 than
Link to the Past did on FF4...but by this point we had already seen so
much SNES-domination that it didn't seem worth comparing FF4/FF12
anymore. Between that and the comparison with Perfect Dark though, just
glad to see they're actually close together; Super Metroid and the
SNES-madness would have scared me away if we still had the Bracket
Battle! LoZ:LttP shouldn't have been considered so safely #2 on the LoZ-totem pole, win or lose. We saw Super Mario 64 nearly upset it in 2009. Who knows who'd win between SM64 and LoZ:MM, but they aren't far apart for the title of the N64's #2 game. feel like, through all of the rallying across so many different sites
that's happened now, a bunch of people who aren't GameFAQs users are
just staying for the poll to vote in it, including people from like the
Melee rally. That's why the results might not be indicative of this
site's userbase as well. I don't mean this in terms of "spillover," where people vote because they saw an old rally that's still up, I mean there are people who are intentionally voting for all of the polls now because they're somewhat invested in the contest. --- RIP in Pieces GamerJM, 2007-2015. Anecdotally, the Undertale rallies got me back into gamefaqs contests after a few years of not really visiting the site. There could be a lot of people who got invested in the whole thing, or even a significant chunk of people like me that dropped out of following them but got interested again after all the rallies. |
