I'm an idiot. I was literally thinking during the poll, CT is only
down 800 votes, I'd gladly pay $800 for this win if only there was a way
to do it. I think, though, that if this happens, we may get a Link who is more unstoppable than ever. Zelda fans will have about as much compunction for buying victory as big-time Republican donors and the NY Yankees. They've only been in the same contest once, and that was 2009 when FFIX was in two LFF matches. had the inkling this contest that SotN is kind of fraudulent but it's
shown, like, zero weakness this contest. My *gut* says Zelda should get
like 70%, especially with the pic factor and doublespillover, but I'm

only winning by 3600. OOT, once firmly established as the underdog,
will bring it, with the hype, counterrallies, the finals, and a site
banner, will bring it. Today showed that UT has not hit its ceiling

This board overreacts to stuff, like CT > OOT in the finals hype. When even I don't think CT should be the favorite..... The thing is, let's say CT is really worth 52% on OOT. When morning hits in these days with a really weak day vote, CT might be at 54%....and a lead of 2200, with votals on pace for 80k. Then Link starts rallying. CT has better chances in a bonus match because Zelda fans might not bother rallying a day after losing to Undertale, in a bonus poll. --- September 1, 2003; November 4, 2007; September 2, 2013 NEVER FORGET. |
Speaking
of next round, Undertale's presence is probably going to make it harder
for Smash to beat FF7. The vote totals are going to be so inflated
that, if Smash doesn't get a notable advantage from those Undertale
voters, the gap is going to be that much bigger for Melee to overcome.
