Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. some tips on how to optimize the ad buy. Might even be worth purchasing

TheOneAboveAll This result does show that Undertale can be vulnerable, though. I think either FFVII or OOT can get it if the right parties get in on this, or if the site-wide banner is effective. This is actually a great point! Smart thinking. I really doubt SM64 can pull it off - I think if UT needed it, it could have gotten another 3K+ votes today. I was actually just looking up a lot of information on this stuff at work last week! I might be getting Youtube/Facebook/Google Analytics all mixed up and it was all very 101 stuff, so I don't think I can say anything anyone doesn't know, but: -It might be worth it to even target "Mario" and "Zelda" in the Facebook ads if it doesn't dilute the spread at all. my upset-special of the contest is Majora's Mask > Link to the Past,
and I've lost faith in it forty-five minutes away from its moment. I
do think LoZ:MM will maintain its suggested GotD-strength and will
mostly avoid SFF. That said, I can't justify LoZ:LttP = SM and can't
argue with the incredible performances seen from the Super Nintendo's
library this contest. I thought age would matter more this
contest...and it did, just not like this. Maybe all this recent rallying for these 1998 and 2001-games will make it happen! Then again, maybe having LoZ:OoT in the other poll is enough to discourage voting for the other N64 LoZ-game...or maybe encourage? So confusing to decipher what multiple polls at once should mean to these matches. Well, here's to hoping it's a good match anyway. Buying
ads is probably within the rules. It's not like you are buying access
to a bot net to stuff votes (which is a cheaper and more certain option)

I doubt Allen would disqualify literally free promotions to GameFAQs, but I guess it could damage the image. The thing about this is time. We really don't have a lot of days left to the contest. I gotta be smart with the copy for the ad though. "Vote FFVII for best game ever" probably won't entice many fans to actually click into it (or maybe it will, who knows).
