It's
mostly been Melee's vote intake dropping off since the comeback
started, so I'd say it's more Melee's rally losing steam than anything. I mean, I don't doubt someone out there is trying to rally for Chrono Trigger somewhere, but it's not the direct cause of this comeback. --- http://i.imgur.com/3DwCNLJ.gif |

probably been said 50 times, but I'm glad there's a Melee rally today

The lead was at 1097 at 6:05 pm. There have been 3868 votes cast since then. OOT/FFIX had 3037 votes cast in the same time frame. That implies a few hundred extra rallied votes. It's impossible to guess exactly how much because of natural variance, so it could be anywhere from 600-1000 votes rallied in that 1:45 hour period. The
fact that Chrono Trigger will still probably lose against a rally
that's about half as big as Undertale's doesn't make me very optimistic. --- A refusal of praise is a desire to be praised twice. |

is interesting: if you look at CT's hourly "splits" for the last few
updates (i.e. how many total had been cut in the hour leading to that
update) then the last three updates have been nearly identical 55-55: 232 votes 50-50: 231 votes 45-45: 231 votes 40-40: 250 votes 35-35: 232 votes 30-30: 233 votes This seems to very heavily favor the idea that this is all natural strength, not rallies.
