Undertale's
going to pull in at least 30% of the Gamefaqs vote I think. If votals
go up to 60k, and it splits 70/30, that would give Melee a lead of 24k.
Based on today, let's say Melee can rally 25k votes, which split 90/10
for Melee, and Undertale rallies 60k votes, which split 80/20 for UT.
Then....Melee gains 20k from rallying for a total lead of 44k......and
Undertale makes up 36k from its rallying, for an 8000 vote Melee win. Even if we move Undertale up to an 80k rally (and it's only done a little north of 50k so far), that only gives UT a win by 4000. fanhacks that square C&D bombed? I dont remember what its called or
if it actually has some sort of forum. Anyway, the best hope CT has for
a rally is if you guys tried to rally it in some square or FF sites. It
could have been feasible to rally it alongside a FF game... If the

Janus5k posted... kind of a poor decision I think - if it has the rallying power that Hylian says, it would best be saved for Pokemon/Undertale and not a match it's already winning. <_< Well, this power is dwindled because the writer who put the article up was looking for news, and not someone trying to rally for SSBM. He didn't post this on twitter/fb, which is where most of the smashboards rally would come from as they have 40K and 60K followers respectively. Just smashboards frontpage alone isn't nearly the strength of it's twitter/fb also posting it, though I imagine it's pulling in several hundred votes throughout the day. Also, I didn't post the article, one of our writers did. He wasn't "saving it" for undertale because I doubt he knows the situation lol and simply was doing a news post before SSBM possibly went out of the competition. that has some validity to it, but I'd go a step further. If CT has a
chance today it's probably to rally for the FFVII/FFVI showdown and see

Undertale fans are more likely to want to support their game on a popularity poll. Either way this rallying makes me believe Undertale will lose to Melee even with the rally muscle it flexed against SMW unless Austin/Vinny decide to hype it for some dumb reason. It's bound to start getting anti-votes like Draven once RBY/SM64 lose. |
Honestly,
how much do we think CT is worth on Melee 'naturally'? I understand it
was at 60% near the start of the poll... Melee I know has a good board
vote but I feel like Chrono Trigger's would be better in this situation. I would go with 57% for CT, and lol FFX. |

CT
was wrecking SSBM's face with updates well in excess of 60/40 before
the rally finally got traction... in SSBM's best time frame. Easily
exceeds 60/40 in a normal match... and while I didn't buy it before, I'd
say SSBM is right around FFX's level naturally, and would have got a
similar percentage by the end of the match after its joke trends died
