love how every pre-contest attempt at predicting rallies backfired (lol
Heartstone) yet we had too rallies nobody saw coming (say what you want
about the Undertale rally, you didn't think it'd get to round 4) |

kind of a poor decision I think - if it has the rallying power that Hylian says, it would best be saved for Pokemon/Undertale and not a match it's already winning. It's been up for 2 hours already, so it doesn't seem like it has quite the power Hylian was talking about. If
you want some insight into my twisted view of contests, I like FFVI
more as a game, but am glad FFVII is winning because the FFVI > FFVII

Every rally we have ever had in a contest has always picked up steam in each successive match. Why would Melee be any different? If anything, getting a huge rally rolling now might be the only thing to help Melee build up the momentum to beat Undertale i two rounds. --- Yay - Raytan is the guru champion of awesomeness. |

Yeah I said it before CT is not impressive enough to win Melee with rallies And Melee is not impressive enough to completly bury CT even with rallies So if CT was our strongest game in the contest and it struggles (and might lose) to a smaller rally than Undertale's... You're not considering the fact that Melee pulls in a massive number of non-rally votes. Undertale has basically zero. 100% of Melee's rally goes to Melee. Its natural strength was barely enough to topple KH2 with 55%, and its opponent here ha almost zero actual rally potential itself. SMW
and SSBM get about the same amount of natural votes against Undertale.
SMW gets more, actually, because it's a significantly stronger game on
base strength. That leaves rallying, which SSBM can do better than SMW,
but there is always some backfire, and indeed I'd expect
Undertale to actually get more backfire votes than CT due to the
composition of the Smashers. And again, this is an Undertale that has presumably gotten past RBY. Of course SSBM will be dead in the water in that scenario. --- http://i.imgur.com/Uxkk8ic.png |

You
have to remember that Melee's natural strength on GF is going to be
stronger than Undertale's. If it comes to Melee vs UT, it's going to
come down to natural strength + rally. Undertale's mostly from the
rally, but Melee is so much naturally that it won't need as much of a
