don't think you know Zelda fans very well if you think there will be no
complaining. They literally tried spinning OoT's picture as a reason
why the game wasn't breaking 70% or whatever was needed to make it look

I'd be unhappy if CT won the contest by rallying over OoT. I'd be unhappy if OoT won the contest by rallying over CT. This narrative that everyone is okay with rallying when it happens in what is perceived as their favor really needs to be put to rest. Especially as it relates to this topic. I honestly don't see any real basis in fact but it gets trotted out to impugn the character of people who are opposed to rallies and it's getting tiring. god it was bad enough when this nonsense only came up once a round. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |

Kinda surprised it's still at the top of the subreddit. We got lucky in SC/ME2 when around 8 or 9 EST some super exciting series of matches happened and posts about them instantly rose to the top, knocking down the rally thread. CT died so I could watch the battle of the rallies. Your deeds wont be forgotten sweet prince. Now, here's hoping Undertake doesnt flop against pikemon like I expect it might. Though even if it does survive that, it could always fall to Mario 64 if there's significant rally spillover from Melee whichI believe will also be compering thatsame day, right? |

If CT loses and even though I don't like it, I will support Undertale. Also rallies are good yeah. But there are some games that are loved by everyone that you are pissed when they lose. Super Mario Bros 1, Chrono Trigger and others. Crono is pretty unlucky. Beaten by Missingno in 12h match, then sffed by Magnus against Pokemon (in what would have been a close match without the sff) and now a Melee rally while he was winning easily. |

My
position on the matter hasnt changed. I'm not pafticularly against
rallies, I just cheer for my favorite games. If CT loses I'll cheer for
Undertale not to spite Melee, which is a game whose competitive scene I
enjoy, but just because I like Undertale more. Come Grand Finals I do
prefer OoT to either UT/Melee. That said I have no bracket on stake
since I missed the early parts of the tournament so Im obviously not as
invested as other people with money on the line. |
Realistically
not many people have money on the line. On the other hand, anybody can
have their enjoyment of the contest affected depending on where they

wasn't far from FFX in 2004, wasn't far from it in 2009, wasn't far
from it in 2010, and didn't look far from it this contest until the

You
guys are completely delusional if you don't think a lot of melees power
is from rallies. You can't just discount that. Zelda gets the same
power and just because it is less visible you don't care. And this
would have happened a decade ago on fansites instead of reddit if smash
had the same huge competitive scene then. Outside of blatant cheating
most people were not mad about starcraft rallies influencing results. Most of you are just being bitter because CT is your favourite game and Undertale and Draven have soured you on all rallies. Has this rally been helping FFVII as well? two I should give my vote. Decided for CT, just in case something crazy

managed to do pretty great considering a Melee rally is likely to be

If it beat Melee here I'd be sad on a favorites game kind of level, but if it won the contest I'd have no issue with it. Remember, I'm "anything but SotC or Ocarina". This is me purely rooting for one of my all-time favorite games and little else, plus vindication for that Brawl > Melee nonsense would be awesome. Brawl would never, ever get rally support like this. The Smash community, childish as it can be, is nuts when it gets together for a common cause. Makes me proud that I used to be a part of it.
