I'd reckon we're only seeing a fraction of the true rallying strength of Melee as it's only coming from Reddit; if the guys with several hundred thousand followers on Twitter i.e Leffen start putting the poll out there Undertale doesn't stand a chance. |

re-tweeting me did nothing. I never actually expected to get a RT from

does indicate one good thing though. If an 88k twitter account had no
effect then maybe a smash pro tweeting about it later won't do much
either. I guess the difference there is that everyone following a smash
twitter account cares about smash. This guy covers all sorts of games so
even though he personally loves CT his fans might not. Even so though
you'd expect to at least have some sort of effect on the amount of

Whatever Allen may claim about Twitter helping Undertale, I don't trust him at all. Twitter isn't a good traffic source. Most Twitter followers are indeed fake. And people read so many tweets that they are mostly treated as noise. They aren't as invested as Tumblr readers, who actually read. Or Reddit visitors who take part in a threaded conversation. So,
some numbers. Based on normal votals, there are about 40,000 Gamefaqs
votes left in this match. If CT wins that 61/39, that is 8800 votes.
Melee is currently ahead by about 400. If CT keeps its 17% backfire
rate, that means that Melee needs to rally an additional 12,800 or so

No Undertale rally had started in earnest by now though Against SMW they were already going pretty strong by this time. Actually,
assuming this is mainly a reddit rally, looking at Link/Draven morning
may not be a bad thing for CT here. Gamefaqs votes fell off harder than
the Draven rally overnight, then in the morning Gamefaqs vote intake
went back up while the rally did not. Of course Link is more day
oriented than Crono and Draven more night oriented than Melee, but the
