less bracket to worry about (mine). I think CT beats FFVII with some
breathing room. Could be an awesome final 10 days if Pokemon manages to

honest question here, can someone explain how FFX/Melee were board
favourites over CT? Did CT not establish itself as the clear #3 game in
past contests? Or were people taking Crono's fall as a sign of weakness
for the game itself? This is honestly the most confounding board messup

I thought FFX > CT was absurd and couldn't believe it was the guru favorite. However, I thought Smash 4 had boosted interest in the Smash franchise and thought that would push it over CT. I honestly have no clue about FFX (you'd think Final Fantasy Fear would have died in like 2009), but it's easy to explain Melee. NintendoFear. Melee lost to Brawl in 2010 but would have cruised through that contest otherwise and would have probably beaten Brawl in the final. Also, you really, really, REALLY couldn't call CT the #3 game on the site when it got its butt kicked by Mario 64 in a match that should have favored it. Doubly so when all the CT characters have looked worse and worse for like a decade. Melee was a sensible division winner.
