the picture advantage in that OOT/FFIX match is as big as the

I would say there is more overlap between ME2 and MGS3 fans than Bioshock and MGS3 fans at least. MGS3 and ME2 both have great characters and narrative driving the game. Guess i was wrong about the MGS deboost. Bioshock is probably a upper-midcarder at this point. here's
a thought exercise. let's say that FF7 gets 60% on MGS3 - seems a
little low to me, but whatever. then let's say that MGS3 wins this with
60%. that's about as much credit as we can really give ME2 and MGS3. that calculates out to a 68% win for FF7. FF7 beats ME1 with 68.7%. that's nuts. --- xyzzy |

This match is probably a result of 1. Bioshock being stronger than we thought 2. ME2 being weaker than we though, probably due to ME3's ending 3. Pic factor??? The thing that's really tough to reconcile here is ME2 being close to Silent Hill 2. That's just nonsense. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

Looks like the demise of Metal Gear may have been overstated. -MGS2 held up quite well against RE4. It's other two matches didn't seem great at the time but RE1 didn't look bad in 2009 and there was clearly a lot of rallying for Witcher 3 (which has unknown strength anyways). -Earthbound having clearly boosted through the roof (and seeing something as marginal but acclaimed as Suikoden II performing well) redeems MGS3's performance on Mother 3. -MGS3 is crushing here and BioShock Ultimate looking pretty decent after all sort of redeems the MGS3/BioShock match, once you take rallying into account. -MGS4 and 5 still suck. Sort of, MGS4 sucks slightly less after seeing how well KHII did. The real question for me is Silent Hill 2. It seems like it's boosted a ton. I can only guess that the cancellation of Silent Hills and all the related Konami crap greatly increased sympathy for Silent Hill. --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |
If
Pokemon manages to beat Undertale, I'll probably have all the remaining
matches correct. Shame I've been eliminated from the Guru for thinking

Bioshock
is an incredible experience so I'm really happy that it has some sort
of strength. Its definitely a game that stays with you, its completely
unique. |

most screwed up part of the current results is that Mother 3 would

There's
also the possibility that SSB4 boosted because of the Cloud reveal and
this somehow actually helped it against FF7 itself. Maybe Mass Effect 1
