Even
though it ultimately lost, Super Metroid truly deserves to be
considered one of the stars of the contest. It went from being viewed as
the underdog against Super Mario Galaxy to putting the fear of God into
our Game of the Decade. What an incredible match. I love y'all, and this site. --- Now crack that combination: 27 99 23. |
Super
Metroid is the star, in my mind. People kept repeating the Mario Kart
match all pre-contest, then it beats Mario and leads Zelda for hours.

So I've been looking at the previous division matches and I'm thinking MM is going to give LttP a run for its money. Sure MM has looked pretty bad, but Super Metroid has done incredibly well. I would take SMG over FF4 and that would put Super Metroid pretty close to LttP plus we have a little bit of SFF where MM is the 'hot' Zelda game right now and I'm thinking next round will be closer than expected. --- Tangy's Quest to beat the Final Fantasies: I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, IX, X, XII, XIII |

was trying to think of if CT was the bigger star, then I realized my
pre-contest percent expectations for CT vs. SM probably haven't changed

I don't think SMK is a top 15 game like Super Metroid is looking to be
here. MK64 lost bad to Goldeneye which Metroid Prime beats clean now. SM

of a ho-hum day here. Shame I didn't give SMRPG enough credit, in
retrospect it should have been obvious it was taking this half of the

For
the record, SMRPG is doing a little better at the freeze than it did
against Oblivion but a little worse than GTAV, so I think mid-to-high
