If
we can only use Super Metroid (which has only had four contest matches
total before this contest), using the Super Metroid/Link to the Past
comparisons in 2009 work well enough, except they have the crazy Metroid
early vote that Prime still has but Super Metroid's lost... which I'd
take more of a sign of strength on SM's part than anything. Anyway, the biggest evidence of trends is that we can relatively predict them now that we know they exist. They come in waves, with the West Coast ASV starting right now. If Samus can hold strong in California SM should be able to start going even with Majora until the SNV starts, so I'd keep an eye there. --- Goddamn Ocarina of Time |

The thing a lot of people fail to factor in when looking at geolocation is that the geolocation results themselves are still subject to trends. Yes a night heavy game might be up in North America in the dead zone, but the day vote could swing that to an advantage for the other game once the sun comes out.
