gained 2% against FFIX, which is pretty weak for its usual day vote
standards, and probably the best non-rally day vote we've seen all

I don't doubt Link will magically bring back the full power of the
Zelda day vote for one day only in the final. Don't count on this

think a better way to put it is if OoT had a 'pure' Power Hour without
antivotes, you'd actually see FFIX rise all day or at least stay static
in percentage during OoT's "day vote". OoT's rise was fairly
exaggerated, and given that by historical standards it was quite modest

Zelda is one of the few game series that actually seems to have a good day vote even in the current age of non-existent ASV trends. Also looking at OoT's 2009 matches, I don't see any extreme swings in percentage. Zelda is one of the few game series that actually seems to have a good day vote even in the current age of non-existent ASV trends. OoT gained over 2% yesterday with the day vote and other Zeldas have done very well with the day vote. That makes sense, because geolocations trends are still real, and Zelda is a lot stronger in North America than elsewhere. To the extent that the day vote represents North America's influence waxing, it's still there. Samus
watched nervously as a number of soldiers bearing the Winged Triforce
crest of Hyrule entered the stadium. Her opponent today was Link, the
invincible tyrant of the multiverse. Link had not brought any help to
any of his matches so far, and Samus was surprised that Link was doing
so today. No matter, she had decided that she would not surrender. She
would go down fighting, rather than kneel before her master. Samus finished charging all of her weapons, and watched as the soldiers pulled out......musical instruments? The soldiers arranged themselves as an full symphony orchestra. They began to play..... Veni veni venias Ne me mori facias.... Estuans interius Ira vehementi.... At last Samus saw their conductor appear in the arena, holding aloft his conductor's wand, directing the orchestra. Link appeared to be completely lost in performing his rendition of Sephiroth's battle song...... Samus shrugged and fired her fully charged blast. It hit.
