Melee vs Chrono Trigger is going to surprise people. You can quote me on this. Melee has been *huge* these past two years in the competitive scene, breaking records for viewership at Evo, and having huge tournaments all year. don't think there's really much middle ground for SSBM. Normally, it
would lose pretty badly to CT. A medium sized rally that hits the sweet
spot of SSBM barely losing isn't that likely. The rally should either do

even if it catches a rally like it did in SSBM/GSC, it only finished

I'm skeptical the Melee rally would get too far- didn't against GSC. I do think there's a lot of potential for medium rallies. We've had them for years, going back to Mario/Cloud and Mario/Crono. In fact, I may have to reevaluate Matio/Crono. 20,000 extra votes, 10,000 of them in the last 3 hours or so seemed like stuffing for sure. But that doesn't seem like such a huge rally now. Of course, the result was still wrong because Crono still won every 24 hour section of that match- but at least we can say CJayC held the poll open long enough for the Mario rally to finish the job rather than the stuffers. --- September 1, 2003; November 4, 2007; September 2, 2013 NEVER FORGET. |

I hope the people who kept insisting that Frog and Crono's final hour
rallies of 3-400 votes were so big they had to be stuffing feel really
silly now. That's like 6 minutes of an Undertale rally at its peak, or 3
