which rounds are going to have the site banner? Not to give it too much
publicity (since its really the site's last ace in the hole) but Luster

We are over 40,000 votes ahead of yesterday already, so we'll be surpassing the amount of votes rallied in the Fallout match within the next half hour. I don't think this match is breaking 100000 votes, though. We got 4457 votes during the 5:00-6:00 PM hour and maintaining that level of vote intake for the last 6 hours would give us an additional 26742 votes to finish with 106375 votes. much as I'd hate for Mario to take another blow, I'm all for TP
upsetting. It's a great and underrated game compared to 64 which I think
has aged terribly. Not counting on it to happen though. TP will
probably look better early on because of spillover than it should

want TP to win not because of the upset factor or to see it go against
Undertale but just because I like it better than Mario 64. You guys
better not let me down on this. But then again you were expecting f***ing Galaxy to beat Super Metroid so I don't know. |

Twilight
Princess, I think, is gonna be legitimately strong here. I've wondered a
lot about that match, feels like TP is the game to not have lost a step
and that N64 nostalgia zone is clearly not what people thought it was,

64 went toe to toe with A Link to the Past so I don't know. I do think it's probably the strongest of the Mario games though |

would pick FFT against Persona 4 without a second thought and old vs.
new this contest only makes that an easier pick. I mean, I'll be so

all the Undertale and Draven matches have been fun. I hated the result
of Link/Draven and our hero was totally robbed by that ddos attack, but
it was still an extremely fun match. There's way too much doom and gloom over winners being certain (and that includes when the favorite was Link). People kept saying things like Link is a 99% favorite to win the contest. Wasn't true for Link, wasn't true for Draven, isn't true for Undertale. --- September 1, 2003; November 4, 2007; September 2, 2013 NEVER FORGET. |

Link/Draven
was fun just because of the downright absurd performance by Link and
the board's reactions. The first half of Snake/Draven was fun because of
much the same. The rest wasn't. Undertale's matches haven't either, IMO. It's basically been a march of inevitability once the rallies have kicked in. Maybe you can make a case for ME3, but Fallout 3 and SMW lost before the matches ever started and the same is true for its future opponents barring something truly unusual. --- xp1337: Don't you wish there was a spell-checker that told you when you a word out? |
Since
the middle of the Fallout match, Undertale's matches have been about
gauging RBY and OOT's chances. Just like CT/FFX was fun for gauging

Someone do a track record of the overall favorite's placing in a contest (starting with Mario 2K2). I'd guess it's about half of contests they've won. Red is correct that people overestimate the chances of the favorite. They underestimate the "Black swan" event. are underestimating RBY. The gap on Tumblr between RBY and SMB3 is
literally larger than the gap between OOT and Fallout 3 on Gamefaqs.
Tumblr is more important than Gamefaqs for these polls, as they have
