I
don't have any problem with Undertale or rallying but are we done with
the "these are passionate fans, this is not lets troll gfaqs" narrative
yet? Because the Draven rally also had people who legit liked LoL/Draven
along with others united under the banner "let's piss off gamefaqs",

But
really, I think something the finals carries more weight in these
situations, which makes it a bit easier for a game like Ocarina of Time,
or any typical non-rallyable game, get that extra boost because it
means something then. People will try harder than a round 3 match is

is definitely some trolling and anti-gamefaqs sentiment to this rally
as well but the biggest difference from 2013 is this rally's supporters
haven't really come to board 8 en masse determined to prove they are the

Let's
see......Snake's match that round got 46510 votes. Link's match got
122,000, for a total of 75,490 extra votes, including Link's
counterrally. Allen said that the extra votes split 60/40 for Draven,
so if we assume 10% for Shepard, that would mean Link got around 27,000
votes from rallying (around the same number he got from Gamefaqs),
including both backfire and counterrallying. SMW has already stolen 6000+ votes from the Undertale rally and I'm guessing will end up around 15,000. --- September 1, 2003; November 4, 2007; September 2, 2013 NEVER FORGET. |

Also
it looks like there was around 10,000 votes of rallying in the
Cloud/Squirtle match. If these Pokemon ralliers can turn out those
kinds of numbers to put Squirtle over Cloud, they better at least try
next round, or I will be dismayed at their lack of fighting spirit when

if anyone is interested in Chrono Trigger/OOT/something else winning

Pokemon has made big gains from the Undertale rallies every round they've shared pollspace. Actually, now that you mention it......I think people calculated last round that RBY was getting around 73% of the rallied votes against SMB3. That is actually around the same as Undertale is getting against SMW today from the rallied votes, if my backfire calculations are right. There was a poll asking for which match we wanted, Draven vs Link was IIRC the third most popular option, and it wasn't even popular The problem was, that this match would make us look like sore losers that can't admit defeat And this match could have went three ways - reddit rally again and Draven wins, then we end up looking bad Or Reddit doesn't even bother rallying because it's a bonus match, and Link wins 80-20 and we would feel stupid The third way is reddit rallies and Link wins, and then guess what? most people wouldn't say it counts, because "reddit doesn't care as much because it's a bonus match" Match should have been extended for the duration of the downtime, Link would have won and that's it --- 3DS FC : 3411-1762-0066 |

It's
much easier to rally against juggernauts like FF7, OoT, and while
useless in the end, LoL; than it is against a recently released indie
game that caught everyone on the Internet by surprise in the span of 90
days. While RBY will have a good backfire rate, it will need a counterrally to have any shot of winning, and it would be difficult to get a counterrally going until it is losing as people outside of the site won't take a round 4 match as seriously as QF or later. |

Thanks, that's really encouraging, RBY evidently totally outclasses the classic Mario games over there. Just gotta hope that x-stats are still somewhat applicable here. Taking the backfire rate from 28% to 40% (still a lot less than using x-stats on that result suggests) more than doubles the size of the rally needed to win. Rallied voters are definitely the most dronish, but.....even they have some variation. Undertale has already rallied more than half what it ended up doing against Fallout. If it had maintained its backfire rate from last round, it would already be far in the lead today. Top 3 most likely games to beat Undertale: 1. Pokemon 2. OoT 3. nothing Even a major counter-rally for Pokemon would be ok. If we have to have one, wouldn't everyone rather have a rally champ that is actually a very strong game on this site to start with? I
have little interest in seeing Pokemon bloat via rallying in the late
stages of a contest yet again. It poses no threat to OoT regardless, so
I'd rather either see tumblr randomly crash in the next hour or instead
