find the idea of "rallies are only okay when they're not effective" to
be absurd but that seems to be the general B8 consensus here --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
This is one of those matches that would be super exciting if I actually cared about either of the games. AKA this is a rerun of Morrowind/Warcraft III. --- Currently playing: Dark Souls 2 |

I'm sure there's an anti-GameFAQs movement within the Undertale
rallies, but acting like it's the driving force behind it sounds like
some salt to me. That screams an ExTha narrative for why Undertale is
some scourge. There probably is some of that, but you gotta accept it's
not that different than Starcraft CARRIERS HAVE ARRIVED people. One is

I'm
fine with rallies, but once someone goes from rallying to cheating, to
me that makes the whole rally terrible. Like Draven in Round 2. There
was rallying but there was also confirmed vote-stuffing. That result was
just disgusting. Near-elites like Mega Man X and Ryu aren't supposed to

So if Mass Effect jumped up 100 votes next update, would that make the rally "not okay" For the record I'm okay with all this stuff but the sliding scale of what makes an okay rally that people here seem to have is completely ridiculous --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. GameFAQS contests are kinda seen as a joke outside GameFAQs these days

Guys I just noticed something The Starcraft reddit thread is deleted too So now that both threads are gone, both rallies have ended (look at the votes for each game and when they dropped off and when they gained, it coincides with the rally threads getting more popular and then subsequently being deleted). This is why you have to love these contests. Matches like THESE!! Whoever wins( i prefer ME2 but whateveR) it' just neck and neck and epic. Imagine a final between Chrono Trigger and OoT just being 50/50 throughout the entire day. f*** the undertale rally crap. |

Btw,
I ONLY rally when a match is close and I don't expect the rally to take
off and destroy the entire contest or even the other matches in the 4
pack. I try to rally enough to win. Especially when Starcraft is
rallying I consider that pretty fair game. I'm only against rallying when it completely sours an entire contest. That's annoying. Rallying was huge int he early 2000s and everyone loved it because it wasn't just for jokes, it made matches exciting because people were rallying on both sides hard. Now Undertale isn't a joke by any means, but you would be completely naive if you thought every voter has actually played Undertale, or that some of them have disdain for us (thanks Black Turtle), not to mention their rallying is in no way shape or form representative of any gaming demographic except the #undertale tag viewers on tumblr. --- http://www.last.fm/user/VinnyMendoza "This is all we have... when we die.." |
