There
are two counter-rally topics on the ME reddit, though they seem pretty
recent (posted an hour ago?). Considering both these games are western,

Dead Redemption is such a great game, I'm genuinely surprised it's
being beat. SOTC is a very good game, and the story and setting is
second to none, but RDR has it beat it terms of pure atmosphere. --- Oh, for a new 'proper' Shining Force..and a new Panel de Pon game and a new english release of Puyo Puyo.... |
Voted MGS3 but happy to see BioShock doing as well as it is. Might be one of the stronger 7th Generation games. --- Video Games are pretty cool. |

haven't followed votals at all, but my guess is that today's matches

Bioshock
is in a perfect position to benefit from two western games being
rallied against each other. MGS3 still has a lot to prove next round,

I
think MGS3 will be stronger next round especially if people are trying
to rally MGS at the same time (against SOTC) but boy it's easily laying

modern gaming communities, places where these games would be elite

Why did you expect Smash U to have strength? ME is legit, beat a mainline Mario game, and Smash U is coasting on name recognition and doesn't have enough playrate. 2. Starcraft is legit imo. It went toe to toe with SSBM once, though I know it was 10 years ago and there was a bit of cheating, I would expect SSBM to crush ME2. 3. Seriously, I can't get over how much the entire series has slipped. We are here practically celebrating the fact that MGS - once thought to be a Top 10 game on this site - has hit 60% on Earthbound. LITERALLY MOTHER. Shockingly enough, the only other highly represented series that has done anywhere near as bad has been the Mario platformers, but at least that has SMW and 64 still beasting (and Mario 3 can blame unforeseen rallies for much of its woes). --- http://i.imgur.com/gByqgPg.gif |

feel like the rallies are hurting MGS3 more than helping. Most ME fans I
know also like Bioshock. Starcraft (PC Gamers) tend to like Bioshock as
well. |

haven't had much faith in the strength of non-MGS1 games and we haven't
seen Earthbound since 2004. If MGS struggles against SotC that's
obviously another story, but I'm not willing to indict it on the basis
of its younger brothers who have never had much reason to have a lot of
faith in. Though slippage for MGS as a whole makes sense measuring from Bioshock, unless there was a reason for Bioshock to be underrated in GOTD or the series to have improved as a whole since then. --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |
