the
power hour is a term coined back in 2006 when the polls moved from 3am
to 12am EST. its original name was the Nintendo Power Hour because every
Nintendo game would start strong in the first hour and fade fast. you
still see that today with games like Melee, SMRPG, Pokemon, etc. basically, it's the period between the bracket/board vote and the night vote. --- xyzzy |

okay. i thought it might mean that's when the majority of the voting
takes place, so its responsible for the big % shifts. Like I thought
maybe the voting became a bit stagnant after that. But I see it's just a

RE4
is not in trouble here, guys. SMRPG isn't even stronger than Paper
Mario (unfortunately), and we'll have to see that ugly reality when RE4
beats it down. As for "why is New Vegas doing so well on it", well, it seems that Fallout games currently basking in the afterglow of FO4's release are pretty strong hint hint --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |

I'm disappointed SMRPG can't do better here.... I guess GTAV isn't
quite that worthless in a losing situation. Of course, GTA looks better

bioshock ultimate eh Mario RPG isn't dying like it did against Oblivion. it's more or less holding. it'll obviously go down but I wonder if Oblivion is a night god and we just didn't expect it. I haven't checked Skyrim's trends but it seemed even to me. --- xyzzy |

think Oblivion has a good night vote, for sure. SMRPG should hold up a
bit better, but when the full eurovote gets in full swing nothing is

transience posted... bioshock ultimate eh Skyrim's round 1 trends are useless since it was facing PW, but it didn't shift too much at all against GE. should be able to get a decent read tomorrow, if MGS3 is still just a
touch beneath RE4. Of course, if MGS3 has fallen off, that could mask
some comparisons. But at least we should know something by the time we

If
MGS3 pounds the everliving hell out of Bioshock enough to exceed its
Mother 3 performance then it really doesn't matter if Earthbound hangs a
crazy number on MGS, there's no way RE4 will threaten either MGS. I suppose it opens up the window to MGS3 > MGS but I'd see an upset by Earthbound or SotC more plausible than that old canard --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |

Also props to GTAV for having so much strength relative to its much older counterparts. You don't see that for anything else. Eh,
all it takes is Chrono Cross getting over 46% on Mario RPG for San
Andreas to be above GTAV, and that target number will likely get lower
as Europe begins to have its say in this thing. I wouldn't say that's
impossible - Oblivion did that - so I think San Andreas has a shot at

Well, Online itself was very turbulent when it first came out, and then there's the Heists fiasco.
