You know

My bracket is 'quite dead' (I literally switched from RBY in the finals to SMB3 in the finals on the last day lmao) but I will feel vindicated if DKC2 goes to the division finals because I actually have that because I'm a crazy person

Not quite as crazy as me taking GTAV to the division finals

Or a Wii game (Xeno) winning 2 rounds

Yes but those are things that aren't actually potentially happening

I got something right and even if the rest of my bracket is utter s*** at this point I feel amazing for it

(ok GTAV can still theoretically happen but uh 'good luck')

The way tactics looked and suikoden looks then ps1 rpgs have boosted. Except ff8 which couldnt even 60-40 vice city. Ff8 turd of the contest so far.

Wow, these vote totals are pretty good so far. Assuming there's no frontloaded voting in today's matches, we're on track for about 46000-48000 votes per match and that's after we're 2 days removed from the Undertale rally. This is also about 3000 votes less than what yesterday's matches got.

Fallout 3 is not failing to break 30% on this ridiculousness. It's not happening. If you think otherwise, you're wrong. I'm inclined to give the benefit of the doubt to arguments conducted in good faith but it's not even a remote possibility.

This is Suikoden II. This is a game that got 57% on Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate (and based on this performance, MH4U would have 21.3% on OoT right now). Fallout 3, especially considering Fallout 4 was barely released two weeks ago, would not fail to hit 30%. It. Would. Not. Happen.

Eh, it's hard for an "anti-vote" magnet to get the blowout of the contest, and OoT did that easily. This is just a throwaway match - everyone now realizes OoT is gonna win so they can be cute and vote for a cult classic and high-five each other about it. It's like how Majora's Mask always beats OoT in meaningless board polls. When things don't matter, everyone acts cute. When things actually matter (like, say, a contest final or contest final-equivalent), everyone always comes home to daddy.

This result isn't even explained if you think a bunch of the Tumblr guys stayed. I mean Zelda is quite high in their hierarchy and Suikoden is old so if anything they would be voting more for OoT than Suikoden.
By the way, I think this performance puts FF9 just above KH2 and just below RE4

Not too shabby

Wow, this is a great performance by Suikoden. OOT not really inspring confidence here. But no, Fallout 3 would not break 30% on OOT. Not in this 90s nostalgiafest.

this is right about the point where Xenoblade started making a move, although of course it wasn't a very smooth one and DKC2 kept sneaking in the occasional cut
Ugh being from the 90s isn't enough Skyrim 60/40'd the hell out of Goldeneye 007

There's no way no how that Fallout 3 fails to 60/40 Suikoden II it's SUIKODEN II what is OoT doing
---
Welcome to the League of Stickies.
This is JRPGFAQs now!
Or to put it another way, since there's some weird 90s jRPG aura of invincibility going on here (...why?), there's no way FO3 fails to double MH4U, and that's what would need to happen for OoT to crack 70% on it right now.
---
Welcome to the League of Stickies.
I mean I admit I didn't anticipate this result. I think OOT's strength is much more of a known than Suikoden though, so I'm revising my estimation of Suikoden more than OOT.

If RBY (high chance) or SMW (probably not) knocks out Undertale, I will be spinning this result into a CT > OOT fanboy upset train. JRPGFAQS!

should RBY fail I'd rather have Melee as the next line of defense

after all, the community has experience handling upstart indie games
Sure, there's always the possibility that Suikoden II has been a stealth midcarder even though it's only made the bracket once, and at a 16 seed at that, and could only score 57% on MH4U. I don't buy it at all, but sure.

But FFIX is gonna throw a wrench into that next round. If OoT gets ripped again are we gonna revise our estimation of FFIX up too?
---
Welcome to the League of Stickies.
Lmao oot being weak as f*** today..

I wonder if we can rally FFIX to beat Ocarina of Time.

That would be neat right?

Even though OoT is in my top 5 games ever, I think it would be fun.
---
Video Games are pretty cool.

Well, we already have this year, from past years, since it beat Kingdom Hearts. As for revising it up further, I'd adjust OOT just as much if that were to happen.

Actually, now that you mentioned that Suikoden has been in one contest before, I looked at it and... it lost in round 1.....to Final Fantasy VII. Now I feel really stupid for predicting OOT to get the same 85% FFVII got last time. That would be an almost impossibly tall order for OOT to match FFVII's SFF power here.

This performance doesn't look as bad anymore, though if OOT hangs out at 75% I'd still consider it a disappointment. If it can get to say, 78%, it'd looks pretty normal going off of that FFVII result.
