I was looking at Draven/Ryu/X earlier. This isn't really close. Undertale's peak is like 350 votes per update. Draven was only doing that while ahead. When behind he was getting 700+ updates. Karma Hunter posted... I've heard suggestions that RBY was on track for an easy win without rallies. People arguing this are delusional. RBY/SMB3 were more or less deadlocked before rally power took over - and it's been propping up Undertale almost from the beginning. The spillover is more pronounced now that it's at full steam, taking an inflating of RBY from 53% to 59%, but at no point has Undertale been at its 'natural' GameFAQs strength against FO3 today, which is probably around a tripling at least. Undertale
hasn't been the underdog since R1. At least, I hope; I'd expect Oracle
predictions today to be decisively in its favor. If not now, certainly

But
Draven could not sustain those updates for long. After 3 AM, Draven
never averaged 300 votes an update for an hour again, against Link.
Granted, Link was sapping a third of his rallied votes, but still, its
comparable. I guess we'll see how long undertale can keep doing this. One thing that makes this a lot harder for undertale is its 1v1 instead of 3-ways. Link+Shepard beat Draven by 13,000 votes after all. --- September 1, 2003; November 4, 2007; September 2, 2013 NEVER FORGET. |

very happy for Undertale fans while simultaneously butt-obliterated at
Pokémon bracket supporters who have fallen into this situation by sheer
dumb luck. IMO Pokémon is now the heavy favorite to win four matches and it might not have even had the GameFAQs strength to beat Mario 3. EDIT: Okay, maybe not a HEAVY favorite, but I'd call it a favorite against Undertale nonetheless. who's this moron thats rallying for undertale? it's fine for a few rounds but cmon. IT destroys the integrity of the contest. This is Gamefaqs best game ever. So small minor rallies are fine but something to this degree is stupid. Pathetic from allen. Even if Undertale was my fav game of all time it's not reflective of the users on this site Also most of the people voting for undertale haven't even played it. It's just some sympathy vote. I can understand games like Witcher 3 or a even Dota 2 making ridiculous rallies from fans of the game but this is pathetic. 90% of these tumblr users HAVEN'T EVEN PLAYED THE GAME. How is that fair exactly? The character battle is completely different. LoL players voted for Draven. You've got a bunch of tumblr users just following this guys pathetic little cry to support a game HE loves. Thats the biggest difference here. |
The place Undertale is pulling these votes from is going to favor RBY though. Maybe in general, but the ones sharing the notes will prefer Undertale. was wondering whether Undertale could end up boosting EarthBound. Then I
realized it's going up against MGS and now I'm not sure if I want it
to. was soundly defeating Mario 3 tbh. Of course it was going to end up a

I'll
dispute the 'easy RBY win' for forever. you'd have to show me Mario
World/RBY and a clean RBY win without rallying to convince me. it sorta seems like rallying is part of RBY's built-in strength though, and if that's true then yeah it beats Mario 3 all day. --- xyzzy |
