Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. think if Undertale makes it to OoT, you have to call it the favorite
there. That news is going to spread even on a scattered site like
tumblr. It has some big hurdles to pass before that though. Beating a WRPG isn't anything like beating a Nintendo game. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

If
it makes the finals, that means it has become the #1 enemy of people
here, not unlike Draven, and with Undertale rallies will come a sizable
push for Ocarina on different sites, too. Aside from the enormous
strength and popularity difference on this site, Ocarina of Time is a
big deal everywhere. Ocarina would no doubt eat many of those rallied
Undertale votes, just like Link did with Draven, only Ocarina is way,
way more liked than Link. If Undertale gets there, I'd expect people to
consider it a favorite, but Ocarina is literally a world of difference
from any Pokemon or Mario game. I mean literally the best game of
all-time guys come on now --- satoru iwata |
Undertale's
rally is more... Friendly than Draven, but the slow burning nature of
it arguably makes it just as tortuous as Draven building up a 10k
cushion in 20 minutes. |
The biggest tragedy in all of this is what Pokemon is doing to Mario 3 right now. |
