through the match, Fallout 3 has a smaller lead than ME3 did at this
point by 669 votes (6644 vs. 7313) but vote totals are 6403 higher

That's pretty much all I needed to assuage my concerns. Six thousand additional votes is a big deal. The fact that Fallout absorbed it like a champ not only really hurts Undertale's chances from a pure numbers standpoint, but it probably demoralizes some of their supporters as well. Why try as hard in a few hours when you already tried and fell far short? The most interesting thing I'm waiting on now is the smart-guy analysis of how many extra votes we got today and approx. how many of those favored Pokémon over Mario 3 (if anyone would even wager an educated guess). --- http://i.imgur.com/gByqgPg.gif |

You know what will be neat? Seeing how Sonic 2 performs on Red/Blue next round. SMB3/Sonic 2 would have just been a painful-to-watch SFF match, but this will give Sonic 2 the potential to end its strongest year in respectable fashion. I expect it to do quite a bit better than Tetris: probably around the 37%-38% range on RBY? That's my gut instinct at least. --- JAK The Character Battle IX people's champ. |
