Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. why people think they would favour Pokemon over SMB3. Tumblr is also a

looking at last round, rby held up better than I remember. it went down about .7% or so from this point to the end. mario 3 on the other hand.. also dropped 1%. --- xyzzy |

a Tumblr user for about 4 years I can confirm that they'd favor Pokemon

3/Undertale currently has the least votes out of the 4 matches, so that

Among the elite games (ones that actually matter), R/B looks like it could be Turd of the Contest if not for Undertale. Many (myself included) thought it could be our #2 game. It had as many picks to the finals as FF7 in the BOP I think? And almost as many in the Guru. It is the Guru favorite over Mario 64. And here it looks like it's natural strength would mean clear losses to SMW and Mario 64. And possibly even SMB3. And it's not even gonna get bailed out by anything relevant to it.
