That's more like it, FFVI. The first 5 minutes were good, I don't know what happened with that 2nd update! I'd expect Halo > COD4, yeah. This many years later, Halo 1 is the much more memorable game. I'll gladly be the oddball here then! I'm not trying to say FF7 = Super Metroid or anything. I just think those games are going to get bombed and that they aren't a reliable indicator of anything. FF7's performance here, I think, is absolutely expected and shouldn't be used to say much. let's see it face a real opponent next round. --- xyzzy |

It's
not a Halo strength thing, really. It would blitz COD4 because COD is
disrespected as utter trash and a blight on the existence of video

Halo is a gaming series that GameFAQs has moved on from, but does like a bit. Call of Duty 4 is a gaming series that GameFAQs has moved on from, and never liked to start with. Destiny is something we were never in on and something we have had 0 respect for from the start. They're each on a seperate, clear tier. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

Anyone
who thought Smash 4 would be anywhere near the strength level of Melee
or Brawl wasn't paying attention. It will have plenty of inherent
strength because it is Smash, but it's still a Wii U game and will

I also concur with Leon that Sm4sh had no reason to be around the strength of the old guard, but still - Melee and ME1 have a... significant gap between them, strength-wise. It may be new and it may be Wii U/3DS, but Sm4sh being this far behind its predecessors in terms of contest strength is still shocking to me. COD4
is still respected by the FPS community but COD gets anti-voted to hell
now. It's very unfortunate that COD4 will not go down in history as a
great of a game as it was because people hate what further entries have
done to the series. Halo doesn't get nearly the anti-voting now. Halo games are all distinctive from each other. They all have a clearly different story and presentation and gameplay elements. Halo 1 was also even more genre defining for console FPS than COD4 was. It also has a well presented story and music and decent characters (compared to COD anyway) so it is a critical darling and more in tune with GameFAQs folks. Really Halo has fallen off because Halo is just weak now. Halo 5 sold a million copies in its first week in the US. Halo 2-Reach all sold 3 million day one.
