Great
to see MMX doing so well here. Think it's safe to say that MMX is the
strongest Mega Man game by a long shot here. Really just goes to show
that Link's Awakening match was weird and SFF-y. Also, I'm not sure why people are surprised at the Melee-G/S/C result. kind of bums me out that MMX was wasted in a non-debateable match. Put
it up against anything in the last 2 divisions and I think a lot of
Board 8 brackets would get trashed because of how much they buy into

I think it makes more sense to keep Mario 64 in the tier with the other
Marios until we see more. so far, only LTTP/FF7/CT have really shown
big power. I'm not sold on 64 until I see it go to town on a game and it
hasn't had the chance yet. --- xyzzy |

I
am really looking forward to CT vs. FFVII. Prefer the schedule it has,
which avoids LTTP. I'm not confident of victory against that game, and
even if CT loses against FFVII, if it puts up a high number that will
look good, whereas people won't necessarily give it so much credit for
losing a close one to LTTP. And of course, if we get to the final, there should be a big outpouring of support for CT against the tyrant. Which will probably be squashed like Link throttling Solid Snake during the ASV, but it will still result in an overperformance and great fun while it lasts. --- September 1, 2003; November 4, 2007; September 2, 2013 NEVER FORGET. |

caught up on the topic and the reactions. My first thought - Why are so
many people freaking out about Chrono Trigger today? Did we all forget
about SFF? Did we forget that DQ8 appeals to the same people who are
fans of Chrono Trigger? The 2 games share enough similarities where this
