like next round's MGS/EarthBound match will give us more information on
whether EarthBound has actually boosted to the sky since the last time
it was in a contest, or if today's performance is just Borderlands 2

another match I'm surprised that the board got wrong. I just checked
the guru and had no idea that so many people picked Boderlands, figured

I
was actually thinking semifinals as a legit possibility for SOTC. I
have RE4 in the semis but Shadow of the Colossus if it passes the Metal
Gears probably has enough momentum to beat it. |

SOTC is not the favorite over MGS, come on now. But yeah as TRE said that wouldn't be miracle, SOTC has proven it has legit strength and wasn't just some bandwagon fluke. One of the most surprising very strong games I've ever seen. I wouldn't have ever thought it'd be a GameFAQs kinda game. transience posted... and earthbound just goes up after the board vote. Yeah,
but I would think Metal Gear carries a bit more weight than a Devil May
Cry, even if MGS is sucking it up this year. Maybe, but I'd feel better

EarthBound has
been getting attention from NoA somewhat recently. I highly doubt that
would contribute a legitimate amount of strength though. BL2 won GotY in
a really weak year and nobody cared about it when the next year ended

overreactions are great, but it works for me because tomorrow MGS3 has
pic factor in the opposite direction. I'd wager dollars to donuts it
pastes Mother 3 badly enough to start causing overreaction buzz for MGS3

asked earlier if any Wii U games had impressed in this contest. I will
admit that I expected Super Mario 64/Mario Kart 8 to be a much worse SFF

Shadow of the Colossus beating MGS1 would be epic. Of course if it them lost to MGS3 again, then we would clearly know what game in the MGS franchise is the most popular here. Which would confuse me since that's a Big Boss game and Solid Snake is more popular than Big Boss. If it beats MGS1 it'll probably be able to beat MGS3 I figure. Then RE4 as well. Mind you if the Witcher 3 rally doesn't happen. If it does, then Its boned. Ocarina of Time will crush SotC though if it gets that far. OoT will crus everything. Except maybe a Witcher 3/Undertale rallies and/or potentially Pokemon. --- Video Games are pretty cool. |
