The others, it might be able to, but the jump from 80% to 85% is pretty huge, so it wouldn't mean Majora is still in the strength range of Mario 3. Since you have to when comparing every Nintendo vs Nintendo. Not sure MM would win the SFF battle against any of the marios. IT would against newer zelda and mario games though . MM's not close to Mario 64 in terms of strength, so that would have to be one heckuva Zelda SFF advantage on Majora's part. Mind you, I'd love to see MM as strong as people are thinking (best game we've ever had win a contest, by far), but it really ain't. --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |
Also, for the record, only 17 of the 128 games in GOTD were projected to be under 20% against Majora's Mask. Compare that to 31/64 being projected to be under 20% against FFVII in the original Games Contest. Nearly half the field! Hey,
I'd have been stoked about FFX winning too, but it's not quite on MM's
level. Plus, I have my doubts if it would have mustered the same
bandwagon to beat Brawl, and Brawl winning would have been the Worst

MM or FFX or a bunch of other games would have been worthy GOTD winners(my personal fav is Prime) Imagine if Brawl had won GOTD...and didn't even get NOMINATED for this contest...I mean how f***ing stupid would that be? IT would look embarrassing for the GOTD contest. |

The
story in both X and X-2 are both a wash at best. X-2 at least has one
of the best turn-based combat systems ever; maybe even second to Shin

remember VC got a Steam-port, that counters MM3D to some small degree.
I'm still backing LoZ:MM since the first round match-ups don't really
tell us much and it's still about where it's expected anyway, but I
