you also really, really like that game! I'm just saying, this is
GameFAQs, not the rest of the Internet. It's never seemed that popular
here, like even on board 8 people love talking about it, but when you
run any kind of favorite poll it gets crushed by almost everything else.
I dunno, no past result comparisons are gonna mean much to me, with
this contest. I think PD/DS, if it happens, would be an interesting
match. I also chose DS over MGS5 in my bracket, so I don't think it
can't win, just that the COD4 comparison is kinda weak, like almost
every reference back to that year with this year. Plus old games >

MGSV
is the worst 'big' game in 2015. I wouldn't even call it 'metal gear
solid' and on top of that it was incomplete, just a horrible mess all
around. It's definitely going to become the weakest MGS game in these

He did put it in a ridiculously noncompetitive R1 match, tbqh. <3 <3 Bacon finding new ways to fix things for his fave game. 2008: 3 FFIV characters make the contest, more than any other FF besides VII. 2009: FFIV is put in prime position to take advantage of Mario games splitting votes. 2010: Ok, nothing here. 2011: Despite bizarrely recommending Cecil/Golbez on the nomination form instead of Cecil/Kain, Bacon attempts to rectify his error and puts it up against the least relevant rivalry in the entire bracket. 2013: Cecil is put in prime position to take advantage of LFF and make his way to the Divisonal Finals. None of these plans actually worked, so I guess he figured why even be subtle about it? --- "What's the matter with bootblacking? We both like it very much!" This is Yesmar. to see PD start cutting, I think I'd still rather have it over Dark

Quick fun X-Stats based on GOTD stuff: Assuming LttP = MM, Cave Story would only be above No Mercy in the X-Stats. Via Deus Ex, FFIV would be worth 39.74% on Majora, putting it between KH2 and GoW. Via Perfect Dark, MGSV would be worth 29.09% on Majora, putting it between Dragon Age and Mario Sunshine. What is with this site ignoring the 2 best games of the 2010s so far but supporting SJW weeaboo hot garbage like Underfail and Xenocrap? MGSV was a good game, but a mediocre MGS game. My friend who is a mega diehard MGS fan and consumes all things MGS, literally sold his disc before he finished it because he was so sick of the filler missions and the lack of things that helped him relate to characters (like interesting codec calls about random s*** that gave you insights on your support team's characters). He didn't even get to Act 2 which fed you repeat missions on harder modes which is complete ass, and I would imagine many old school fans were pretty pissed off about that. I would guess most GameFAQs users are the types who want a solid and well paced story that isn't completely unfinished like MGSV is. Most of our userbase likes RPGs with good stories and that's why they played MGS too. The V ending was also kinda controversial with some folks. I'm actually surprised MGSV didn't face the same backlash that ME3 did. After seeing this performance? It's going to be weaker here than MGS4 and 2.
