Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. is this match over? Obviously it's been back and forth but with xeno
losing ground, is it safe to call this one? A lot of people were saying
that now that US is awake it would swing that way, are there any factors
that haven't come into play that could swing it back? --- I like dragons. Also, contrary to initial popular belief, I'm Not Darth!...Really! |

Safer_777 posted... I checked the map for OOT yesterday and it won everywhere except one country which had 1 vote for Hearthstone! I know someone mentioned it but it is funny! There's actually 4 countries where Hearthstone was the winner. However, only 1 of those countries is actually visible on the map. Although some countries aren't visible on the map, there's still a way to obtain the voting results for those countries. The countries with Hearthstone winning: Bhutan - 100% Hearthstone Faroe Islands - 100% Hearthstone Jersey - 33.33% OoT, 66.67% Hearthstone Mauritius - 100% Hearthstone charmander6000 posted... Unsurprisingly vote totals are low today, we're going to struggle to break 36k. I guess that's what happens when we have what could be the weakest eightpack in the contest. With a lead this small it's worth going for minor rallies to help Xenoblade. hearts was winning the US and losing in Europe similarly but it failed
to do much during the day even as the European votes dwindled. Weird. Canada was the difference maker. It is not weird. FF 9 was winning by a lot everywhere except USA. But Xenoblade was winning decently except USA and Canada. And since most votes come from USA it makes sense. The difference with KH and DKC2 is that KH was losing in Canada, which really limited its day vote power. DKC2 doesn't have this issue, since it's winning Canada as well. Xenoblade doesn't seem to be winning Europe to the same extent that FFIX won in Europe. I don't know if this subreddit is even particularly active. But if
someone knows a better one to post this without it being out of place
then do it! In the end it will probably not amount to anything though, DKC2 seems set to win to me. |

I love how this is on the sidebar for their rules: Do not ask for specific questions about specific games. Try GameFAQs. picked Mario maker but I couldn't be happier about seeing it flop. No
offense to the game at all, FE is just my favorite series. I just
figured the game would be so weak that Mario would destroy it (and then
destroy dkc2 LOL). Oh and this is DK. No close DK match is ever over until the bell. --- Get the X out. Vinateri was using his god powers on the Pats and then was like "Wait I'm a Colt now lol" and now you have it. |
