I said a while ago, MGS4's reception has soured over time while FFIX's
has gone the opposite route, while we know from GOTD that KH2 is
stronger than KH1. So FFIX would only have had to be worth like 56% on

all logic tells me that KH will win with it ahead in the US and it
being the better day vote game by far, but I know better than to expect

FF is building a lead VERY slowly. Still if it ends up like Galaxy vs Mass Effect, 400 will be enough. |
If Kingdom Hearts had its godly ASV then FFIX would be in deep trouble. As is, this match is still very much up in the air, but I think FFIX's got it. In that case, half the games that made it to the 2001-2003 Divisional Final in 2009 will be out already! has almost no chance. It will get mauled during the day. It needed a

thing with Mario Galaxy VS Mass Effect. When USA woke up, Mass Effect
won easily. At least the better game won. Now here I like both games and

isn't right. Warcraft 3 was an amazing rts experience that still holds
up as a solid game. |

damn it got over 400. Still think it would take at least double this to
hold off KH during the day, but damn maybe trends really will be

Today's
match really makes Grand Theft Auto look a lot better. I still don't
know who I would take between FF8 and FF9, but pre-rally, it looked like
GTA:VC would break 42-43% on FF8. Pre-contest, this match was far too
close to call in my mind. But after KH2 killed MGS4 and FF8 didn't look
impressive against Vice City, I raised my oracle to 55% for Kingdom
Hearts. I think I wasn't giving GTA enough credit, though, because I
thought 58% on Vice City was pretty uninspiring. --- Yay - Raytan is the guru champion of awesomeness. |

I think GTA might have recovered. Hopefully not enough to swing San
Andreas/Chrono Cross or GTA5/(SM RPG/Oblivion), but it could happen, in

think FF9 might have this simply because Europe is heavily favoring FF
right now. KH is winning in the US and that will come into play, but
the difference in other regions is a bit larger than a lot of closer

Actually,
that regional vote trend that was posted earlier points to the European
vote really dropping off around 10 or 11 Eastern. I would expect
Kingdom Hearts to really start cutting into the lead in about 2 to 3

IIRC
Canada has around 0.4 as many votes as the US so it's pretty much

Mass Effect gained about 850 votes over SMG2 from Mario's peak lead
until the end of the match. So, I will consider this match over if by
noon either FF9 can break the 1000 lead barrier or KH does not start
