My
initial reaction is that FF9 loses because the Power Hour should have
favored it...but it also handily lost the first five minutes so I don't
know. KH2 also had a good early vote against MGS4. Night vote should favor FF9, and the night vote seems to matter more than the day vote these days. FF9 has a REALLY bad day vote though. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |

Monster Hunter is dead, barring wackiness. Suikoden is going to be
doing these updates for a decent while. It might be up well over a 1000

It does, like FF does. FF's bad day vote has been practically non-existent thus far this contest. At the same time, it doesn't dominate the night the way it used to either. I wouldn't feel comfortable taking anyone but the near-elites and above over her, and I wouldn't feel good taking her over anybody of actual strength. Yeah those trends make KH look really dead, though I feel Europe should be weaker for FFIX than for MGS games. Who knows though. |

FFVII and FFVIII were incredibly stable throughout their matches. FFVII was between 83 and 85% in every demographic, and FFVIII was between 56 and 58% in every demographic (pre-rally). --- http://i.imgur.com/3DwCNLJ.gif |

Cloud is in the next Smash?? What, holy crap! Just when you thought the FF7 brand was doomed to naught but future contest embarrassment, a FF7 Remake is announced and Cloud is in Smash. Hope Poke fans enjoyed the days of Squirtle>Cloud while they lasted. trends might be less extreme than FF9 trends, honestly. FF9 has beaten
FF10 in the night vote and lost the day vote to Persona and PW. Who

Female Link oh boy. Linkle is a god awful name though. That's the kind of name a five year old would pick if you asked them to name a female Link. the Linkle name is awful. When I was watching the announcement during
lunch, I thought it was going to be joke character Link/Tingle fusion
before the fusion. I wonder if she will be the protagonist of Zelda
WiiU? Kind of like how Ro's debut was actually Melee. And nice cut, KH. This looks like a real match. |

Cloud will be getting introduced into Smash 4 as a downloadable piece of content, so he isn't like Snake who was already in Brawl to begin with. I think this announcement should put Smash 4 clearly ahead of Mass Effect in round 2, then it faces off against FFVII in round 3. Pokemon RBY was also announced as a Virtual Console release for the 3DS, but that won't be out until 2/27/2016. This would be the first time that Pokemon RBY has been ported over to another system. That could give Pokemon RBY a boost next round if you were already unsure if it can beat Mario 3. Oh and KH1 has this easily. I've seen many a close KH match turn blowout once those brats wake up in the morning. I will never forgive that series for beating Castlevania. So undeserved. Given that it was always Nomura's series, IDK how it was good before he was involved? I hate how it has spread onto a million different platforms, but the 3 games (1, 2, BBS) that are 'main' games have all been good/had something to offer (2 had the best gameplay and BBS had the best story, etc.). |
