Hard to say if the announcement is actually doing anything because TP was naturally gaining percentage before the start of this Nintendo Direct. Looks like it's not doing anything here. They didn't announce anything new just a crappy amiibo. The game itself has the exact same graphics but a higher res. Very lazy port job. It
won't be enough for Cloud to beat Link (and certainly not for FFVII to
beat OoT). Cloud might get stronger against other characters,
particularly Nintendo ones who he has struggled with recently, but he'll
lose all the new support against Link and put up a ~46% performance as
usual. Only way for Cloud > Link or FFVII > OoT is for the remake to be well received. |
