I'm
assuming there's SFF in that match and 999 is utter terrible to begin
with. I'm certain about the last part at least, but I don't know
anything about 999 at all and the only things I know about Persona 4
comes from the anime. --- My old signature was really outdated. I haven't thought of a proper new one yet. |

has to be one of the weakest games in the bracket. The only games I'd
consider it winning over are Cave Story, Binding of Isaac, Life is
Strange, and Journey, though I wouldn't be confident in any of those.
Oh, and VLR, obviously. And yet, as a fan of the Zero Escape games myself, I know how passionate the fans are, so there's some part of me that says this performance is extremely impressive. --- Currently playing: Dark Souls 2 |

is probably the most obscure game in the entire bracket, so even a

feel like between the SMASH BUMP and how high profile project rainfall
was AND it getting a sequel like pretty soon that it'll pull it out over

I just checked the results. I have to say this: 1st match=Mario doing as I was expecting 2nd match=FFT doing as I was expecting 3rd match=Zelda doing as I was expecting 4th match=Persona doing as I was expecting. Yeah I know but all these matches were easy and everything is going normally. --- Why do we exist?What happens when we stop existing? |
Persona 4 is the only game that doesn't seem to be dropping. Of course Mario and Zelda will rise to heaven during the ASV. Surprised at Final Fantasy losing the night vote to something, but I think Resident Evil stuff, especially not RE4-related, is absolutely horrible during the day so FFT should be able to stem the % bleed then. --- "Nothing I could do!" -Darksydephil |

fictional contest that is biased and has so much outside influence from

Persona 4 with a blowout. Twilight Princess barely breaking 70% on Skies doesn't feel like good news to me, but then again Skies got 37% on Mass Effect in GOTD so it's probably fairly decent. EDIT: Twilight Princess is actually only underperforming stat expectations by 2%! It'll probably rise back to its stat number during the daytime, so unless Skies is weak it looks like TP didn't budge at all strength-wise. We know Skies is worth 38% on Super Mario Galaxy 2 at least lol. For all we know Skies might have been a midcarder before '05 and Wind Waker could have pulled off some weird SFF on it (both games get compared on occasion) in BGE1. Going
to be my fourth miss of the contest. And sadly I had FFT for most of
the bracketmaking period but decided to go for the RE2 upset to make a
fanboy pick. Didn't work. And what were the reasons for picking the upset otherwise anyway? FFT getting weaker? RE2 came out the same year on the same console, why would it get weaker any slower than FFT? The Final Fantasy name being tarnished? question is, is Persona 4 really as niche as some people here think? I
mean, there are 50 squentillion spin-offs and various forms of media
based around it at this point. It might be the most popular JRPG not

I
looked for Xenoblade in contest hystory and the things I could find
were a near tie with Walking Dead on GOTY 2012, and its protagonists
failing to beat Ratchet in the 2013 contest. It screams "fodder" to me. But DKC2 is also fodder, so... I'm not sure. |

am a bit surprised that Mario Kart 8 is holding up better than
expected. I thought it would get SFFed into the ground by Super Mario

Looking
at the best way to rally for Hearthstone... Twitch could get you a lot
of votes since it's a popular game, but that's a great way to be get
banned plus your comment may not be seen given how fast chat moves. The
sub-reddit seems to frown upon advertising and tumblr could easily
backfire to Ocarina of Time. At best Hearthstone would need a person
with many followers to endorse the contest and tell its viewers to vote
for Hearthstone. 30k+ votes is likely needed to win and the longer it
takes for the bandwagon to form the better chance Ocarina of Time will

I don't think Twitch is a good mechanism for rallying at all. You'd need the guy people are watching to say something; chat will be ignored. And even then, people are in the middle of something. Twitch
rallies will probably never ever work. In any big twitch streams, the
chat is so fast you can't actually read what's going on, also links are
usually blocked. The best hope for a rally for Hearthstone is the massive hearthstone subreddit. However, it's usually filled with complains and last week was pretty impressive with only rants , streamers quitting the game and people saying they aren't playing any more. Of course, it's only the hardcore fanbase that's annoyed but they are the one upvoting/downvoting so if they are still mad they will prevent rallies from even starting up. There are other places to potentially rally but if reddit isn't in it, I don't think Hearthstone can manage. (edited 11/12/2015 7:39:55 AM)report |

I have been thinking about what people say about Hearthstone and how
Link would steal a lot of votes from it and while I think a fanbase can
be more monolithic than people expect, it's true that it would take a
lot of vote for HS to win. However they could simply avoid the issue by not making it a game contest but about trolling, kinda like a part of the Draven rally was, but this time making the entire rally more about trolling than the game. But ofc not that many people like trolling for no reasons, but how about trolling villains ? And making GF as the villains would be so easy, just use some of the UT meltdown and it's done. jesus f***ing christ. i hope the creator of undertale goes out of business and has to become like an electrician or something and he's never able to share any of his creativity with people again What do you think the Undertale fans would think if they see that reaction ? They might rally for HS even more than UT did , since this is hoping the one who made the game they like would be ruined because his game won a popularity poll on the internet. But Undertale is the low hanging fruit, how about a bigger part of Tumblr ? Just read board8.txt . I'm sure a lot of tumbler users who aren't even aware of anything would be annoyed at being <insert one of the dozens of ridiculous insults> for being part of site. And all that because Mass Effect 3 lost. And since they are <insert insult2> , it's not like they can fall any lower by voting to troll. And all the feminisms and SJW comments could help start the buzz too. And ofc this is just reactions from a few members and those in the heat of the moments. But do you think they will do the research ? Now picture a good selection of quotes and something like "Vote hearthstone to see those guys get even more pathetic" or something like that.
