I'm expecting somewhere in the area of 10-15%, and I'm guessing at least

It's similar to 2 in only the most surface way, as in "oh hey now the patriots are aware you can do this so they'll try it later". The lie in 5 is key to the "downfall" of Jack. He's fully aware that "the reality is no match for the legend" and that "legends are usually bad news" but rather than stay humble and modest like Solid Snake - the true, untouchable hero of the series - Jack actually used his legend to lie to, manipulate and betray people. He fanned the flames of it by creating a double to expand the legend, meaning said legend will now partly be comprised of "exaggeration, misinformation, and outright lies" - aka exactly what the true "villain" of the series, Zero, did. It's way too simple to say Kojima was contradicting MGS2 or sending a mixed message or something. It's too late for reddit rallies guys, it takes a while for a thread to rise. Fallout reddit is full of threads about the new game, you won't get a rally there (and fallout 3 is already winning so they won't care). And I even doubt it would help ME3.
