LOLContests posted... Actually, couldn't we try rallying for Fallout 3 now? If the current rallying for Undertale can have an effect on the other matches, couldn't a Fallout 3 rally do the same for ME3? Or is that too risky? How many of those votes would go to Undertale? What if we rally for Fallout 3 and then IT goes crazy and wins the contest? at least Fallout 3 has legit strength, also even if superpowered it still has to deal with OoT |

of the people will know what the score is until they vote anyway. This

ROUND 1 – DAY 7 – TOP OF DIVISION 4 Match XXV: (1) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim vs. (16) Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Previous Performance The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – N/A N/A Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – 2010 46.52% against Mario Kart Wii Analysis There’s a lot of hype surrounding Skyrim. If there is going to be one recently released game with strength then it would be Skyrim. Some people have been going a bit crazy in their predictions by placing it as a top 10 game and taking it over Super Mario 64, but even taking it to be about equal to Oblivion would still mean the game has strength. Phoenix Wright has been our board’s darling ever since it was released, but I feel the game and series may be getting weaker, not that it had a lot of strength in the first place. Skyrim will be looking to break 70% here and I think it will have enough strength to do so. charmander6000’s Bracket: Skyrim > Phoenix Wright charmander6000’s Prediction: Skyrim wins, 71.35% - 28.65% Match XXVI: (8) GoldenEye 007 vs. (9) Diablo II Previous Performance GoldenEye 007 – 2009 35.97% against Super Mario RPG, Resident Evil 2, Donkey Kong Country 2 23.33% against Final Fantasy VII, Super Mario RPG, Mario Kart 64 14.59% against Final Fantasy VII, Super Mario 64, Chrono Trigger Diablo II – 2010 74.31% against Eternal Darkness 45.12% against Metal Gear Solid 4 Analysis On paper GoldenEye 007 should have a relatively easy win. Diablo II does have strength where it performed well in the last two contests, but GoldenEye 007 is another beast entirely. Only getting doubled by Final Fantasy VII with Mario Kart 64 in the same poll was so impressive that some people have it listed as a top 20 game in the site. The main cause for pause was its performance on the list. I know using the list is a bad idea, but when you go from top 10 to the 80s questions do arise. Did age finally catch-up to the game? It’s quite common to use GoldenEye as an example of a game that has aged badly, but the argument was there in 2009 as well. If GoldenEye 007 is still around the top 20 or so then the game could be pushing for 60% here. Match XXVII: (5) Metroid Prime vs. (12) The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind Previous Performance Metroid Prime – 2010 73.34% against Star Ocean 3 64.61% against Devil May Cry 3 58.16% against Okami 50.73% against Half-Life 2 48.06% against Fallout 3 The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind – 2010 50.45% against Warcraft III 28.61% against Super Smash Bros. Melee Analysis This is the first day where games from the same series are competing at the same time. Is it possible that games could hurt each other even if they are in different polls? Would a fan that barely takes Morrowind over Metroid Prime think that they need to display more diverse tastes and vote Metroid Prime? I would like to say that there are people that think like that, but would the number make a difference? Another thing to look out for is whether Morrowind has received a boost since the release of Skyrim. I’m leaning towards no or at least it wouldn’t be very much. Morrowind will end up looking respectable, but it is a far cry from the strengths of its younger brothers. charmander6000’s Bracket: Metroid Prime > Morrowind charmander6000’s Prediction: Metroid Prime wins, 64.37% - 35.63% Match XXVIII: (4) Half-Life 2 vs. (13) Demon’s Souls Previous Performance Half-Life 2 – 2010 74.47% against Left 4 Dead 2 56.17% against Grand Theft Auto III 54.37% against God of War 49.27% against Metroid Prime Demon’s Souls – 2010 47.00% against Mega Man 9 Analysis These two games were in the same division during Game of the Decade. This match will give us some insight on whether Half-Life 2 has maintained its strength since that contest. Pre-contest the answer was no as a large portion of the gurus took Metroid Prime despite essentially going 50/50 in that poll. The original Half-Life ended up doing well against Final Fantasy X so maybe the expected drop due to age never came. Metroid Prime was expected to get 65.63% against Demon’s Souls in 2010 so a performance at around that level would increase the hype for that match. Assume
200 votes per update the rest of the way. 33 updates left, so that's
6600 votes left. Wouldn't Undertale only need 61% of the remaining votes

Hunt too, although not to this degree obviously. Won every update by
just the amount it needed to for hours on end, and then with only an

I just don't think tumblr will have the same effect that reddit did
