I've honestly never even heard of Undertale until I saw the bracket. I guarantee that's wrong. Undertale has seen the biggest craze for a low budget/indie PC game since... probably forever. It's getting massive exposure on Youtube as well, far more than Life is Strange. I don't even watch youtubers but I know Game Grumps are currently playing it, as well as this Markiplier guy. I think they're among the most famous gaming people there. And all the big remixers are churning out songs from it. There's hundreds of new ones every day. Undertale's problem is being so new. In a couple years it would have won this matchup. |

SMW > Animal Crossing: NL are normal and expected but Undertale's GR
ranking of 94.71% being beaten by ME3 92.17% isn't. Neither is Vice
City's whopping 95 Metacritic ranking being beaten by FF 8, a game that
could only manage 90. |

had never heard of Undertale before the bracket came out, and I haven't
heard of it in a non-contest setting since. Maybe I don't go to the
right places, but odds are the rest of the Gamefaqs users aren't going

ME3
is definitely being anti-voted here to some degree, but I'm also
getting a "Mother 3/Devil May Cry 3" vibe from this match. People
thought Mother 3 was going to be the absolute bottom-of-the-barrel due
to its niche nature and lack of an official US release, with many
predicting DmC3 to get 80%+. Then Mother 3 avoided the doubling,
everyone was baffled, and DmC3 did as expected against Prime anyway. Similarly, I think Undertale is merely weak instead of being the worse-than-Tanner turbofodder everyone expected. --- JAK The Character Battle IX people's champ. |

mean we have worst case scenario for life is strange and best case
scenario for Undertale. The x-stats will have to be adjusted for the
fallout 4 effect and the antivotes Undertale is getting. I don't think
Undertale is fodder either, I think if this were me2 it would get maybe

I've
never heard of Undertale before this contest but after the bracket was
revealed I found out a decent number of people in my college's gaming
club play it. I've never met anyone that's played Life is Strange

popularity a month after it came out, after being completely unknown (I
thought it was a new release in October when suddenly everyone online

vs LiS isn't a competition. Undertale crushes that. It's safe to say
that Undertale has taken over Steven Universe as the "in" fandom for the

It's
funny that people say they have never seen Undertale mentioned when
there has been several Undertale threads CONSTANTLY on the first page of
this board since it came out. This is a case of selective observation on your end if you think you haven't seen it, because it's all over literally every gaming site. It's extremely popular on NeoGAF, as well as /v/, where there are multiple threads about it at all times. |

I know it's everywhere and a lot of my youtubers are uploading videos

don't spend that much time on board8 in off season. I am part of many
gaming communities and life is strange has been discussed far more. Just don't see how you could argue with 6x the sales across many platforms vs smaller indie PC game. It has cred on more hardcore sites which are heavy in pc gamers but for the console crowd life is strange is much bigger.
