Right now I'm glad I picked Fire Emblem against Mario Maker. Who was the favorite there - what were the BOP/guru numbers for that match? transcience posted... eh, very few people think Mario 1 is better than Galaxy 2. it would be stronger, yeah, but Galaxy 2 is like top 5 all-time on metacritic. it belongs, even if it's not universal like Mario 1. But Mario 1 was revolutionary. I don't think any publication would rank SMG2 higher on a greatest games list than SMB, because SMB gets so many bonus points for how revolutionary and important/historic it was. Plus I think Metacritic's sample for game critics is very small. It is definitely not like RottenTomatoes for movies, which has tons of reviews including for very old movies. If ME3 didn't have issues with it's ending and the controversy it would have walked the GOTY that year. It was pretty close between ME3, BL2 and Xenoblade anyway. BL2 was a great game though but what else could beat it? There wasn't much else out except ME3. It was too much to ask for a wii exclusive RPG(that only came out in NA that year) to win even though it wasn't far off. |

is a perfect example of why SBAllen deserves so much credit for
switching to the four poll format. Two huge blowouts, a boring 55-45,
and one good match still makes for a fun day. All you need is one
surprise. Really we've only had one boring day so far. Also, go mass effect, even though I picked SMG2 in my bracket. Don't care because mass effect rules. --- Every day the rest of your life is changed forever. |

Hey,
I'm the first person to distrust TP and Brawl's strength these days.
But they're not just stronger than ME2 based on that poll, they're in a
whole 'nother league - make no mistake, that poll is an awful
result for ME2. Nintendo SFF is some of the most potent stuff these
contests has seen, and even with a double serving of Mario and Zelda
sapping it, Brawl still beats ME2? No way it's fallen far enough to drop that match. Even if you want to argue Skyrim hurting ME2 disproportionately, somehow... ME2 is almost getting doubled by Skyrim in that same poll. ME2 is a midcard; it can't hang with the near-elites or better. --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |

Halo vs. Minecraft was one of the most confusing matches for me, because neither seems like a game that is well-respected on GameFaqs. else completely missed that this was even coming up? I've filled out
brackets for all of the gamefaqs character / game contests in the past
(though I'm always way off on several of the choices and never get close
to any sort of prizes) but I had no idea at all that this one was
coming up until I saw the first poll for it on the front page (and by
that I mean the one with Paper Mario / KotOR / TWW / etc., apparently I

Trends-wise, those last 2 hours are probably going to be SMG's best of the daytime.
