know most people think SMG1 is stronger by a decent margin, but I still

Minecraft thread also has to get to the top of the subreddit and stay
there, which is a lot easier to do with a larger base like LoL's. If
there's going to be a rally of any consequence (more than 800 votes), I
think it will have to come from somewhere else. |

transience posted... you can't look at every Journey vote as anti-FF7, especially since we aren't seeing any noticable antivoting like in the past. FF7 came out killing it oddly enough. it's become an underdog, finally. Are you talking to me? I said I don't believe in any such base, these are almost all real Journey votes. I think it's not an underdog so much as the rest of the day has gotten weaker while its Power Hour strength has stayed about the same. I suppose maybe that is because it's not considered the clear favorite anymore, I don't know. But I don't think it will move much past the Power Hour, largely because we are now so un-trendy, and also because Journey just isn't the game to take advantage of Power Hour weakness. Does the board really care about Journey? I don't think so. No one here has reason to vote for it out of being fashionable. It used to be fashionable to anti-vote FF7 and I don't think that's so much the case anymore. don't have any real respect for Super Metroid's contest strength but
it's not gonna drop a match to Galaxy. The Galaxies are just too weak,

was worried about FFVII, especially after the last contest and seeing
that FFVI > FFVII poll on the front page. Hopefully the haters have
finally realized (1) FFVII doesn't always win and (2) it's not funny to

Mass Effect stalling this early feels
better than Symphonia, but maybe I forgot and Symphonia start this

Difference between this and Symphonia is that Mass Effect actually has a night vote. Think ME1 wins this at this rate. --- Black Turtle did a pretty good job. |
looking at maps, it seems like Minecraft will gain overnight and Galaxy/ME will be equal-ish, maybe a slight edge to ME. but if Galaxy dies after the power hour, that'll kill it anyway. --- xyzzy |

Symphonia is a Power Hour game, just like TTYD. Along with AntiTrendsFAQs, the two games are just too similar in trends to begin with. ME, though, it could make some hay out of this. Tales was down 213 at this point while Mass Effect is down 185. Plus Tales should be a much stronger earlier game then ME. anyway Super Metroid hype yes I am in Galaxy 2 isn't close to Galaxy 1 though, and I'm not sure if I'd draw that conclusion. it's like.. I don't know, Mario World 2 to Yoshi's Island or something. that's extreme but it's the best I've got. --- xyzzy |

like Super Mario Galaxy will fare a bit better once the day starts,

DKC2 is the preferred game among hardcore platformer fans, but the original is considered an "instant classic" while the second is considered "more of the same" by casuals. is looking doomed if it can't get any more traction than this in the
Power Hour. The first update or two is front-loaded with bracketvoting
and this board, which are bigger percentagewise than they were before
