Oh and the second match curse continues. 2002: Morrigan > Spyro when everyone picked Spyro. TJF is born. 2003: Fox > Pikachu was a debated match that people got wrong, though this isn't on the level of other examples. Spring 2004: Some people actually had Pac-Man beating Metroid. 2004: Ganon beating Alucard surprised a bunch of people given Alucard's past performances and Ganon sucking it up in 2003. Spring 2005: Sigma/Andross heavily debated because people are sick of getting the second match wrong, even though I think this one was kind of easy. The logic for picking Andross did make sense though. 2005: Ness > CJ pissed so many people off and started a whole day of topics about the site being racist. I hope most of those topics were jokes. Spring 2006: Mega Man X > Suikoden. Our first ever second match that was actually easy and went the way everyone had hoped. 2006: Ada > Jade was easy, but Kairi > Claire more than made up for the second match being easy. yoblazer out of the guru after 4 matches. 2007: Everyone picked Diablo to beat KOS-MOS for second place. This was before people really understood how 4-ways and LFF worked. 2008: Zidane beating Shadow floored people. Everyone remembered Tidus = Shadow and assumed Tidus was much stronger than Zidane. I still owe people a 2008 retro analysis, now that I think about it. 2009: A bunch of people picked Oregon Trail because they thought it would make a joke run. It got flattened in round 1. 2010: Alucard > Magus really speaks for itself. One of the many reasons people have no faith in Chrono Trigger. GotD: Deus Ex beats Rock Band and all the "PC master race" morons whine that it didn't win by enough. If there is one fanbase that deserves to never get its way, it's PC gaming elitists. Rivalry Rumble and the last character contest were jokes on day 2. I the only one that thinks everyone's overreacting to Chrono Trigger's

guys Chrono Trigger has zero chance of making it to the final. I know it's been a while but come on. think Dragon Quest is a little stronger than we give it credit for,
plus if people are going to vote in every match, they'll be more
inclined to pick the franchise they've heard of, and let's face it:

basically. I'm not thinking that I should have seen this coming or
anything. P3 looked stronger than DQ8 already in the past stats and

my picks based on how I thought the board would vote(lots of nintendo)
instead of personal favorites. So far, only 1/4 of my picks have been
correct. With the way so many people seem to b****h about FFX, I didn't
choose it even though it's my favorite FF. Would've at least has 2/4 if
I'd gone that route. With about 11 hours left, what are the chances of a comeback on any of these? |

this point, I wouldn't be completely surprised if FFVII lost to Big
Rigs. It only takes a lot of anti-votes and one strong rally with our

On
the bright side, DQ8 > Persona 3 makes me feel good about Chrono
Cross winning its fourpack. Why people favored WoW or GTA in that
fourpack never made any sense to me. That match is still far away, but with DQ8 losing to CC in GotD, it just got me thinking about that fourpack. |
I haven't even played CT and I'd be fine with it winning.
