Averaging
less than 10000 votes a day is not likely to happen at all. At some
point, the drop in vote totals will eventually hit rock bottom. But How do we know that? looking at that list is depressing. We went from 90k to 27k in 6 years. I can see the PoTD being turned into a Poll of The Week or worse, removed from the homepage completely if the votals keep falling. also...did people's browsing habits change THAT much in those 6 years? did everyone suddenly discover Google after 2008? weird. --- ... |

There's
not going to be a multi-platform poll, seriously. Almost all the games
we've seen so far are multiplatform games. It wouldn't make any sense.

Brawl's poll had fewer games (8 instead of 10) and its competition is definitely weaker. Bayonetta 2 and Mario Kart 8 > Mario Kart Wii. Another reason to not have console polls is to stop the Nintendo games from SFFing each other to death. Also with the Wii U poll getting the most votes (so far) and having what I'm sure most will agree is the best lineup... Wii U system of the year? don't know why SB put Dark Souls 2 in this poll after it already won
the PS3-poll. At least Smash's games weren't identical between
platforms and was facing more varied competition between the 3DS and Wii

poll. There were more RPGs in the PS3 poll that Dark Souls II had to
deal with. In today's poll, there are fewer RPGs (besides Dark Souls

I know South Park is an RPG. However, Dark Souls II is much closer to
that of a JRPG compared to South Park. And well, the PS3 poll had

really. There isn't much of a difference between the two, in fact in
terms of design and appeal Dark Souls is more "western" it's a JRPG but
there's more to LFF than where a game was made. South Park I can
definitely see overlapping with Final Fantasy X. Now there's an

only doing about 3% better than the PS3 poll and today's poll has far

Last
year, we had the PC GotY poll after the Xbox 360 poll. This year,
we'll be having an Xbox One poll, so I am expecting PC to happen right

makes no sense for Lightning Returns to be on the 360 poll and not the
PS3 poll since I'm sure far more people have the Sony version. |

seems like Bacon is choosing these games solely on their review scores
alone. No game in the PS3 poll has a Metacritic score less than an 83.
However, the 360 poll has very few games with high Metacritic review

I was talking about the North American perspective. Which is most of
the site. Even in Europe I can't imagine there's much of a difference.
Obviously the big difference comes from Japan but that's barely
