The median date of birth not moving forward is actually a bad thing for us in the long term future. I put up an analysis on this page regarding the connection between average age and median date of birth:

The massive problem with most site visitors bypassing the homepage by visiting GameFAQs from a Google search result has caused more harm to the site than having lower vote totals. We're also getting far less people signing up for accounts as well.

Yeah, he said he made a mistake there.

I wonder what games other than Tetris he's counting as puzzle games, since apparently visual-novels are "action-adventure."

We now know Tales of the Abyss didn't make it, since he said only two Tales games did.

Also DDJ said there were only 4 games starting with "T" that didn't start with "The." Tetris, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Vesperia, and what else?

I know it's a bad thing, and I really dislike the situation with the low low votals. But I'll take the glass half full view of things when it comes to CT. Though I'm not so sure that lower votals is actually so good for CT.....excluding casual voters who reach Gamefaqs from a Google search seems to help Pokemon more than anything, actually.

The visitors who are unable to find the poll after coming to GameFAQs from Google are also the same people who are unable to find the account registration form on GameFAQs. We have a shrinking userbase to deal with, so anything that would replenish our userbase with more users is always a good thing.

Do we really want the same group of users to vote in our contests year after year? That's why it's a good idea to increase the size of our userbase to shake up the results of our contests and make Board 8 more active as well.

Maybe Drakengard 3 can help save Caim here and make him less pathetic in a future Character Battle.


Mario Kart 8 is currently losing to Watch Dogs right now. The night vote is killing Mario Kart 8 here, based on the poll graphs. Still, I think the day vote will help Mario Kart 8 make a comeback, but I don't think it will be enough to take the lead back from Watch Dogs.

Mario Kart 8 was unable to do much with the ASV in yesterday's poll. Although Mario Kart 8 gained percentage during the ASV, Mario Kart 8 was only able to stall Watch Dogs with the ASV without really making an effort to cut into the lead. Overall, Mario Kart 8 gained about 0.50% with the ASV, while Watch Dogs lost about 0.40% during the ASV.
