This poll also has very good vote totals, compared to the other polls we've had lately. But it's still not enough to break 40000 votes. I think the age poll will be the only poll this year to break 40000 votes, if we get an age poll this year.

So...what are the chances that the LoL community would rally for LoL in a games contest? Kinda hard to gauge whether they'd actually care enough to rally here again. I'd say 70/30 chances they would.

I doubt Bacon even allows LoL in a games contest. It's not like he hasn't arbitrarily banned other contest entrants before (Dark Link.)

Unlike in character battles, there is a precedent in games contests for joke games with poor scores or reception to be barred from participating. Hence why we have never seen any of these games in a contest: http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/2708

Yeah.... That rule is in place to keep games like Superman 64 and Big Rigs from getting in on joke noms. Not to keep out every game that has mediocre reviews.

These vote totals are so bad today. 1812 votes at the end of the first hour. I was not expecting an April Fool's Day poll to get such bad vote totals. Looking at the poll, there does not appear to be any significant option that Bacon forgot to include, so there should be no reason why there aren't more people voting. It's possible for anyone to vote in this poll.

The chances of reaching 20000 votes are very unlikely, but still possible. This would end up being the first non-GotY poll to get less than 20000 votes since early 2002 or so. These are the kind of vote totals I would expect for a GotY poll, not a normal poll.

Vote totals look much better than they did after the first 6 hours. We're going to break 20000 votes for sure. This poll will finish somewhere between 22000 and 23000 votes.

Resident Evil 4 is dominating today's poll even worse than the poll from 2011. We have 3 games in today's poll with less than 3%, while the poll in 2011 did not have a single game under 3%. So the competition today is weaker, with today's poll having a different line-up of games compared to the 2011 poll.

Battlefield 4 has no reason to be in this poll because it was a huge disaster for both EA and DICE (the developer). I would have replaced it with Call of Duty 4.

RE4 was already regarded as a masterpiece after its initial release on the GC but then it got ported to so many consoles, PS2, Wii , PC, PS3/360 (HD Remaster) so that helps too.

Resident Evil 4 HD was released on 9/20/2011, just slightly less than one month after we had this poll back in 2011.
