Despite ZeldaFAQs, I think GameFAQs will vote based on prestige, and TLoU will beat Zelda pretty handily for overall GotY. that TLoU and SotC are in the same position for prestige (which is hard
to measure anyway), but SotC didn't necessarily benefit much in 2005
from prestige in its GotY-polls... http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/2247 http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/2254 ...or its match against RE4 in 2009... http://www.gamefaqs.com/poll/3472 ...it took a bandwagon caused by upsetting MGS2 and MGS4 in close matches for it to compete with MGS3, a near-equal to RE4. That was about five years after its original GotY-polls. Fortunately for TLoU and LoZ:LBW, neither game has to compete with something as strong as RE4. Still, depending on your perspective, they've both got arguments to win the battle of prestige: new smash-hit game VS classic series returning to its roots. It's
pretty obvious the PS3 poll is not an accurate indicator of GTA V's
real strength since I predicted that 360 owners of the game would not
vote for GTA V in the PS3 poll since they don't have it on 360. The
same applies to the 360 poll, but with PS3 owners not voting for GTA V
