Zelda Williams (40k followers) vs David Hayter (55k) would be kinda funny. But yes, something clean would be nice.

Ok, I guess I should stop moping over our lost greatest match of all time and start looking forward to the return of Link in 1v1 as we haven't seen him in years.

The thing is I'm seriously scared of losing this one. Snake is really strong and I don't think Link will replicate his performance against Draven.

I don't think Snake is even at regular Link tier, anyway. He looked about even with Samus before today, maybe slightly ahead, but Link doesn't need to be anywhere near the strength he was against Draven to win this. That said, there shoud be a lot of support for him early, so he might end up leading for an hour or so - that wouldn't shock me. I doubt he can stick with Link for longer than that, though, unless there's some rallying involved, which isn't out of the question. 55-56% sounds about right for Link here, and I would say Snake's basically #2 on the site now.

I maintained that Snake was solidly above Samus pre-match, and I'm sticking to it. I don't think we can take the Mega Man bonus poll at face value for a lot of reasons, not least of which its basement-tier votals and screwy SFF extrapolations.

...though we really have to only wait one hour to get a better impression on that.

And I can already visualize how Snake wins. Snake holds strong in the power hour due to spillover and a bandwagon. He stays even with Link overnight because of his superior night vote. All this already happened in 2008.

But this time, when morning comes........Link's beautiful day vote, that he used to gain 9000 votes last time, is less than half as strong because there just aren't that many Gamefaqs votes coming in. Then Snake gets big rallies. Link rallies don't appear because it's Snake and not the great evil Draven.

I can already picture it. This could be so horrible.

I dunno, even ignoring the bonus match, Samus beat MM pretty good, enough to at least assume she hasn't missed a step since 2010. I figured Samus/Snake would be 50/50 heading in, which is why it's a top match I'd like to see. How much do you have Snake with there?
