Common Stats Topic Lingo Defined*~ SFF (Same Fanbase Factor) - Same Fanbase Factor is the theory that, if two contestants share a common fanbase, the weaker of the two options will underperform in a direct matchup. For instance, Link was expected to defeat Ganon with 65% of the vote in 2004, based on their 2003 values. Instead, Link collected near 88% of the vote. This is the best example of SFF we've ever seen. However take some SFF labels with a grain of salt, as many people will slap it onto any match that doesn't make perfect sense. Extrapolated Standings - The mathematical "strength" of a contestant that's determined based on their performance relative to the rest of the field. This number is typically based on the contest entrant's loss, but adjustments are sometimes made. Smurf was actually Lightning-02, who rallied Vivi over Mario, and he tricked the LoL subreddit mods into setting up Draven to go into True Executioner mode all for the sake of turning Allen's contests into a farce? ...Huh. That's a thing, alright. A disgusting thing. Draven would have fought back incredibly fiercely against Snake during the Worlds championship, judging by these votals, and this would've been a match for the ages if he hadn't intervened. Do

I
still can't believe that this is the ONLY final match where there isn't
a single Zelda or FF character/game. In all other contests we had at
least one of them and many times both of them. But now none of them. I

Busting
out something unexpected hasn't been one-sided. We expected Draven to
crush Link, Mewtwo, and Snake. And in all of them, he couldn't do it at
first. Battle Royale Day 4 Cloud Strife 35.71% 54057 Link 44.65% 67579 Solid Snake 19.64% 29733 TOTAL VOTES 151369 The Great GameFAQs Character Battle IX Draven 49.54% 69874 Votes Your Pick Solid Snake 32.84% 46319 Votes Samus Aran 17.63% 24863 Votes Total Votes: 141056 Look at those 2 matches and tell me that Link has no chance of winning tomorrow. If we give split Samus's votes 80/20 right now, we get: Draven 53.06% 74847 Solid Snake 46.94% 66209 And that's probably underestimating the percentage of Samus votes Snake would get. This is Draven Supreme, the character who is completely and utterly invincible? A character who is losing to Snake + Samus and would get 53% on Snake 1v1? even assuming Link could have a shot here, which probably isn't true
because Draven would probably pull out some new trick even if he stood a

I
admire the passion of the argument but I just can't remotely buy it.
Post-Sticky Draven is worth much, much more than 50% on Samus+Snake.
Equating Snake 2006 to Snake 2013 is pretty off, too. Anyone want to bet

1st round, he wins with some rallying, but it's not by a ton, and no one even bats an eye. Nuh-uh. I called Draven beating Link a possibility during either that match or the one immediately after! Greyfeld called Draven doing something at that point too IIRC, but whatever, he's a lamer. >_> Was going to No-Pick x 3 for Draven's Round 2 match but decided it just wouldn't be right to potentially profit from a Draven win like that if the rest of board 8 wouldn't. Draven rally topic finally dropped out of the number 1 spot for the
first time since it reached that spot. It was in the number 1 spot for

All this talk about Draven extinguishing hope makes me wish reddit had done this for Kefka (since, y'know, that was his goal). gotta admit despite how everything has played out it is pretty amusing
how fitting Draven's personality/lore applies to everything he's done

Bonus Match IV: (1) Link vs. (1) Solid Snake Previous Matches Draven 44.65% Link 44.02% Commander Shepard 11.34% Draven 49.40% Solid Snake 32.80% Samus Aran 17.80% Analysis I guess in a sense this would have been the true final had Draven never been rallied to the extent he was. Both of these characters looked impressive in their matches leading up to their defeat by Draven. It is a small solace to see what would have happened. In a normal match I still fell Link is the strongest character in the bracket. He may be weaker, but I do not see him losing to Snake. I also wonder what would happen to Snake if he goes up against a strong Nintendo opponent. Will they SFF him due to his appearance in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or will Snake be able to hold his own. Snake however has a bit of momentum going with him. Link has been eliminated almost two weeks ago while Snake just had a large rally before Draven swatted it away. If some of those people are retained we could see him get a boost. Then there are rallies to consider. I do not think there will be any major rallies unless Reddit decides to intervene. Most of the board prefers not to have any rallies and this is probably our best chance to see something like that happen. match would of been closer if it wasn't for the World Championship for
League. People complaining about the Draven rallies without knowing the
full details of whats going on grind my gears. Honestly if it wasn't for
Worlds, this match would of been a lot closer. |

We don't really know what the true effect of Worlds is because Draven put the match away with the sticky just before Worlds started. Currently it looks like it would have been bad for Draven since the Worlds topics were pushing down the rally topics and people were too busy watching Worlds matches to bother with rallying or voting. You
know, we've got enough bonus match material to where I can do adjusted
stats without having to resort to using 2010 values and stuff. Link vs.
Snake, Mario vs. Crono vs. MMX, and Chester vs. SBD vs. Caim will be
enough to make the X-Stats look slightly less ridiculous. So I might actually do a set of "adjusted" stats, but it'll only use those three matches. Not sure what I'll do with Draven in the Adjusted Stats though. Either I just stick him at the top slightly above Link (or Snake...!) or I guess I could try to adjust him based off of the early results from MMX/Ryu/Draven. --- http://img600.imageshack.us/img600/8718/leonflowchart.png |

I'd
just list two Draven values - a Max Draven and a Min Draven. They can
be listed as separate entities for the purposes of stats. The stats aren't entirely unsalvageable, contrary to popular trollbelief. I'll be working up my own set of private stats, personally. Not that they'll be of great use but they certainly should be able to help as at least a very rough guide. --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |

there's any rallying next match it will almost certainly be the same
minor kind you find in every contested match. r/LoL has made it
abundantly clear that they don't give a damn about any poll at all that

Speaking
as Snake's most fervent backer last match, I'm not going to make any
push at all against Link. This is just a clean 1v1 match where people
are just rooting for our favorites and seeing who's the more popular
character. There's no incentive to try and get David Hayter or something
