It'd be pretty awesome to break the current record, but the fact still remains that we needed extreme rallying on a scale never seen before to break a record because we just can't get those vote totals with our normal voting base.

IIRC Smurf posted a picture of 'his sister' with some guy in a bar with his arm around her grabbing her boob. There was a guy in the background on the right side of the pic that looked hilarious.

The LoL World Championship stream already has 350,000 viewers. That's 2.5x the maximum number of concurrent viewers during the EVO finals. I still wish that we were dealing with a Link/Snake/Mario finals, but you have to stand back in awe at the popularity of this game.

That is seriously unimpressive for the size of its playerbase.

Dota 2's champsion stream had over a million viewers at one point.

If you include the number of people watching the youtube stream, there's over half a million people watching it just now. Its also only the second game of the first round. Unlike Dota 2, you can't watch it from inside the game client, you actually have to go to lolesports.com or twitch/youtube to watch it. Plus you don't have it on Steam telling you its on the whole time.

I agree that with the number of people playing LoL you would expect it to have more viewers than Dota 2, but you can't really compare them until the end when you have the final numbers.

The english twitch stream alone had over 250k viewers for Dota 2. That does not include game client and Chinese streams.

Draven's vote intake has crashed back down to levels where rallying would be effective.

Only problem is, the lead's so big that no one would care. I mean, I guess if we started more rallies up now we could stop the deficit from ever surpassing 20k, but...we've got less than 7 hours. Snake can't cut nearly 20k in under 7 hours, can he?

The momentum is on Snake's side. He's the one the non-LoL internet gaming factions have rallied behind over the past 18 hours. Link's tango with Draven is already but a memory, which is why I'm expecting a Snake overperformance. Heck, he's almost doubling Samus right now, which puts him right around (or slightly above) Link's traditional strength. I know Draven has obviously made the match wonky, but it stands to reason that Snake will retain more of his artificial boost than Link. We're seeing Snake's boost right now. Link's ended two weeks ago.

It wasn't even we,the people that came to discuss the world championship really didn't want to see a threads about Gamefaqs poll, and every rally topic got more downvotes than upvotes

It never was. I think what has happened today has utterly vindicated my argument during Mewtwo/Draven that Allen was wrong to correct them; falling for any impersonation is 100% their own fault, and it's not for the admin of this site to correct their stupidity.

Greyfeld has probably surpassed Kanz territory. All the guy seems to care about is the prize money, he's willing to go quite far to get it, and he's been hilariously pathetic and hypocritical about this contest at times. I should know, I'm stalking him.

That doesn't make him incapable of providing insight in this topic but it's difficult to respect him at this point. Actually, "way beyond Black Turtle" is probably a better comparison for him than Kanz.

Snake doubling Samus right now doesn't mean anything. It was always apparent Snake was going to be the one people rallied behind to win the contest over Samus. He's easier to rally for and support than Samus - MGS is much more popular than Metroid. He isn't gonna be able to repeat this performance, because he won't have the crazy rally support against Link, who's already very hard to rally against, anyway. He will probably enjoy a Mega Man like boost at the start, because board 8 and early voters are probably going to be in his corner, but from there Link shoud put it away pretty quickly. The Link that showed up against Draven won't be here, but a freshly boosted Link without anti-votes will be!

When was it ever a sensible course for the admin of this site to go unrequested to some other website to clarify matters about his site?
It was a terrible decision regardless what it led to, if they wanted clarification they could have come to him but otherwise he should have left them with their application of best judgement.

That's kinda the reason I wish i would have voted for Snake/Samus, it would be far more interesting than what I expect to happen tomorrow. That being said, if Snake can be at least a little like the Snake of today, it could be an interesting match. Also, I feel people are just tired of Draven far more than they are of Link.

If Draven gets the sticky again, especially from the outset, Link cannot win. Post-Sticky Draven has been busting out 60-70% updates against Snake and Samus combined.

This is a better bonus poll no matter how it goes.

Despite all that, this STILL isn't Draven's true power.
I'm pretty sure it would yet again be like LSD and this match, with Link cutting than either being very close or taking the lead, then something ridiculous would happen (a caster would start talking about the poll, Riot would step in, or who knows what) and would crush the poll.

I wouldn't expect another sticky, but then, it was weird that it happened today, so who knows. I know people would be down on the idea regardless, after what happened to Snake, but I would favor Link more likely than not 1 on 1. The sticky would very likely push Draven to a win, but without it, he'd have no shot IMO.
