It'd
be pretty awesome to break the current record, but the fact still
remains that we needed extreme rallying on a scale never seen before to
break a record because we just can't get those vote totals with our
normal voting base. --- Luster Soldier --- ~Shield Bearer~ | ~Data Analyst~ Popular at school, but not as cool as SuperNiceDog, Guru Champ! |
Oh, okay. Might have to delete that one from the ignore list; I was ignoring a lot of people yesterday and I thought it was one of the Reddit newbies but now it looks like it's just an established user's new alt. --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. You will be missed. Congratulations to Guru champion, the mighty raytan. |

Smurf posted a picture of 'his sister' with some guy in a bar with his
arm around her grabbing her boob. There was a guy in the background on
the right side of the pic that looked hilarious. --- Game of the decade? More like Guru of the decade mirite? However, the Guru of the next decade so far is SuperNiceDog |
I kinda feel sad for all the celebs that rallied for Snake today... And everything crashed Well, thanks anyway... Crossfiyah posted... GloriousSweater posted...The LoL World Championship stream already has 350,000 viewers. That's 2.5x the maximum number of concurrent viewers during the EVO finals. I still wish that we were dealing with a Link/Snake/Mario finals, but you have to stand back in awe at the popularity of this game. If you include the number of people watching the youtube stream, there's over half a million people watching it just now. Its also only the second game of the first round. Unlike Dota 2, you can't watch it from inside the game client, you actually have to go to lolesports.com or twitch/youtube to watch it. Plus you don't have it on Steam telling you its on the whole time. I agree that with the number of people playing LoL you would expect it to have more viewers than Dota 2, but you can't really compare them until the end when you have the final numbers. |

Hard
to believe that less than four hours ago, Draven's lead was under 1000

Yeah, there are over 400k people viewing the English twitch stream just now. As I said, until its over and we have the final numbers you can't really make any proper comparisons. |
Draven's vote intake has crashed back down to levels where rallying would be effective. Only problem is, the lead's so big that no one would care. I mean, I guess if we started more rallies up now we could stop the deficit from ever surpassing 20k, but...we've got less than 7 hours. Snake can't cut nearly 20k in under 7 hours, can he? --- RIP GrapefruitKing and Emporer_Kazbar. You will be missed. Congratulations to Guru champion, the mighty raytan. |
It's
hilarious to think that even with the ridiculous rallying, 1
article/post/tweet from Sony or a huge gaming site could still make this
interesting. --- Twitter. Kojima. A new era in GameFAQs contests. |

Draven will spike again when the current game ends The lead is so big,I think Snake will need 200 vote cuts to win this This is as hopeless as hopeless can be Let's just enjoy Snake/LInk |
Only 18 gains. Of course even if no one voted for Draven at all for the rest of the matches, I doubt Snake would win. That's how big the lead is. He might get cut if the current game last a bit though. |
23 minutes with only 11 kills? So competitive LoL is like competitive Dota? a long, boring farmfest? (just curious to see how Draven spikes when the game ends) |

So
it looks like Greyfield was the one (or one of the people if there were
multiple) whining to the reddit mods about supposed (Smurf's) fake
"vote manipulation," as well as trashing the board in general (to rile
the subreddit up I guess?) Can we shun him to Kanz levels please? --- I don't know how much you know about women, but Dr. Pizza is an expert. - The Mana Sword |
The
momentum is on Snake's side. He's the one the non-LoL internet gaming
factions have rallied behind over the past 18 hours. Link's tango with
Draven is already but a memory, which is why I'm expecting a Snake
overperformance. Heck, he's almost doubling Samus right now, which puts
him right around (or slightly above) Link's traditional strength. I know
Draven has obviously made the match wonky, but it stands to reason that
Snake will retain more of his artificial boost than Link. We're seeing
Snake's boost right now. Link's ended two weeks ago. --- Chen Kenichi's #1 Fan (also Yoblazer) |
Without
the easily fooled mods, people would probably be hoping for the matches
to last as long as possible and rage on everyone taking his time
talking during the break. As is it now, it's just funny spikes. |
NaughtyOctopus posted... Karma Hunter posted...Nanis23 posted...Waiting for Karma Hunter reaction Not even slightly different in essence from when someone was posing as Allen on the site. Welcome back KH. You're still a hero to us for Snake's pre-2 o'clock performance. --- Twitter. Kojima. A new era in GameFAQs contests. |
The funny thing is,every rally thread that was created before the mod did it,was downvoted hard It wasn't even we,the people that came to discuss the world championship really didn't want to see a threads about Gamefaqs poll, and every rally topic got more downvotes than upvotes It's safe to say that no rally could materialize without a mod intervention..this is sad |
Allen's decision to actively correct their moronic gullibility no longer holds as a valid action in retrospect. It never was. I think what has happened today has utterly vindicated my argument during Mewtwo/Draven that Allen was wrong to correct them; falling for any impersonation is 100% their own fault, and it's not for the admin of this site to correct their stupidity. --- XIII_rocks, the cream of XIII fanboyism. |

So it looks like Greyfield was the one (or one of the people if there were multiple) whining to the reddit mods about supposed (Smurf's) fake "vote manipulation," as well as trashing the board in general (to rile the subreddit up I guess?)Greyfeld has probably surpassed Kanz territory. All the guy seems to care about is the prize money, he's willing to go quite far to get it, and he's been hilariously pathetic and hypocritical about this contest at times. I should know, I'm stalking him. That doesn't make him incapable of providing insight in this topic but it's difficult to respect him at this point. Actually, "way beyond Black Turtle" is probably a better comparison for him than Kanz. No offense meant to Black Turtle! --- [NO BARKLEY NO PEACE] |
Snake
doubling Samus right now doesn't mean anything. It was always apparent
Snake was going to be the one people rallied behind to win the contest
over Samus. He's easier to rally for and support than Samus - MGS is
much more popular than Metroid. He isn't gonna be able to repeat this
performance, because he won't have the crazy rally support against Link,
who's already very hard to rally against, anyway. He will probably
enjoy a Mega Man like boost at the start, because board 8 and early
voters are probably going to be in his corner, but from there Link shoud
put it away pretty quickly. The Link that showed up against Draven
won't be here, but a freshly boosted Link without anti-votes will be! --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |
In
fact, I'm almost disappointed it's not Draven tomorrow! Link would rock
it 1v1. He still isn't at 50% here even the huge benefit he had today! --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |
Yeah
Snake who saved the contests had a puncher's chance against Link. He
only lost because he got screwed, but that merely puts him in the same
company as Link. And I had more faith in Snake going up against Rallied
Draven than Link. --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |

That's kinda the reason I wish i would have voted for Snake/Samus, it would be far more interesting than what I expect to happen tomorrow. That being said, if Snake can be at least a little like the Snake of today, it could be an interesting match. Also, I feel people are just tired of Draven far more than they are of Link. --- RayDyn's baby: http://img.imgcake.com/SgtSphynx/img0261rba.jpg http://img.imgcake.com/SgtSphynx/ubabalayheeeejpgzypy.jpg |

If Draven gets the sticky again, especially from the outset, Link cannot win. Post-Sticky Draven has been busting out 60-70% updates against Snake and Samus combined. This is a better bonus poll no matter how it goes. --- Welcome to the League of Stickies. |

ZFS posted... In fact, I'm almost disappointed it's not Draven tomorrow! Link would rock it 1v1. He still isn't at 50% here even the huge benefit he had today! Despite all that, this STILL isn't Draven's true power. I'm pretty sure it would yet again be like LSD and this match, with Link cutting than either being very close or taking the lead, then something ridiculous would happen (a caster would start talking about the poll, Riot would step in, or who knows what) and would crush the poll. |
I
wouldn't expect another sticky, but then, it was weird that it happened
today, so who knows. I know people would be down on the idea
regardless, after what happened to Snake, but I would favor Link more
likely than not 1 on 1. The sticky would very likely push Draven to a
win, but without it, he'd have no shot IMO. --- tune in tokyo 142.94 |
