I doubt a Samus rally on 4chan will have any effect. Whats to stop them from just voting for Mega Man instead? They have no reason to care that much about Samus.

Samus got the lead down to 80 here. Definitely seems like Europe will seal it here, unless some wild MM rally pops up.

Mega Man deserves to make the finals for a lot of reasons. Never made it there before, contest resurgance after a long slump, closest important match of the contest, only one that defeated Pokefear, Capcom's treatement of him...

But all that means is that Samus and Mega Man are both getting votes from 4chan users, and they tend to like Samus more. Its hardly a rally, at least, not a one-sided one.

i'm sure both have rallies going for them.
it also helps that Red just got COMPLETELY abandoned at roughly the same time period that Samus started doing major cuts.

I'd still rather see someone with a good story in the finals. Draven is Draven and Snake did absolutely nothing to get there. Would anyone even care about Snake vs. Samus if it was a 1 v 1? I wouldn't, and Snake is my favorite character. Where's the pizazz? Mega Man is the guy we need to keep this contest even vaguely interesting.

There isn't an interesting story to tell in the finals!

I mean, if you want to designate this the "true" finals that's one thing, but there's no interesting story in the finals unless someone tries to be a hero like Link and that's really unlikely!

Oh, no doubt, my distaste notwithstanding.

The format and especially Draven just kind of killed it. This is the last real interesting match - Snake/Samus for #2 will probably just be a boring LPF one way or the other.

Oh, maybe you haven't been paying attention but you see this is NOT a 1v1 contest. It's a 3 way contest. Once again dumb argument. You really don't see why a final without any Square or Nintendo is appealing?

Probably not enough, but like KH mentioned, someone is going to get LPF'd and abandoned to try and stop Draven. Snake will be the easiest character to rally around because he's Solid Snake.

Link effectively demonstrated that outside extreme circumstances (actual fodder) that natural strength just isn't enough.

And the more you're depending on outside rallying, the less you need someone to fold.

If Snake picked up some absurd rally he wouldn't need Samus/Mega Man to fold. They'd appear to just from being the odd one out in rallies, but the more you trivialize the natural strength and trends with rallies the less they matter.

I don't think the difference between Snake and Samus/Megaman is great enough to result in one of them being really killed. I don't think it'll be much different from Mewtwo and Sephiroth
